Merry Christmas All!!! On this oddly warm Christmas Day, I decided to post my third look for my holiday outfit series. It’s definitely feeling like a Cali Christmas on the east coast, but the warm weather has not stopped the holiday spirit by any means. In efforts to really emphasize the holiday, I chose to center this look around an embellished sweater that I actually bought and wore last year on Christmas Day. I love this top because though it does have the sparkle that most garments possess during the holidays, it is not so obviously “Christmas-themed” and can be worn on many different occasions. To continue to keep things fun and festive, I added a fringe mini skirt on the bottom and my oh-s0-popular thigh high boots for a little added height and warmth. (Side note: I have really been loving pairing navy and black. Is it just me?) This look is perfect for any holiday party, night out, or even dinner with the family. I hope you guys enjoy this look and have a wonderful day with your loved ones! Happy Holidays!!!

For my second holiday look, I decided to go for another fairly casual outfit with a bit of flare. If you are not the type of girl who is into sequins and wants something slightly less flashy, metallic textures and prints are a great alternative. Though I am personally a fan of sequins, I know that they can sometimes make a garment too heavy or, depending on the placement, can also be rather itchy. Luckily, during the holiday season metallic pieces are also in high demand and can be found in most retailers. Similar to my previous look, I kept the drama on the bottom with a metallic pencil skirt, so I made sure to keep everything quite neutral. With that being said though, I wanted to challenge myself by not using any black pieces so I accessorized with white and grey. I feel like the shoes and clutch added a bright pop to the look and played off of the “winter white” trend that is also quite popular. In efforts to not have the look be too overwhelming, I wore a plain grey cropped tee and just threw on a statement necklace for a little extra shine. Surprisingly, I really like the idea of more casual holiday looks this year. While floor length, sequin gowns are always statement worthy, I think looks like these can allow for less stress and the ability to be more comfortable while focusing on the celebration. But who am I kidding; I could change my mind by New Years. We’ll just have to wait and see I guess! Lol. Until next time!

While still being fully immersed in the holiday spirit, I thought it was about time I feature a post that showcased some of the holiday looks I am loving. I was very excited to style this edgy holiday look, especially since I’ve had these sequin joggers for about a year and have been dying to wear them! One thing I love about the holiday season is that you can never be too overdressed. It is a time where you can pull out all of your glitz and glam and no one will judge you for being the disco ball in every room. Aside from that, it is a period of celebration and personally, I jump at any and every chance to get dressed up! Now on to the look. Since the joggers are such a statement piece, I wanted to keep the rest of the look slightly muted so I opted for an all black ensemble and decided to experiment with different textures. I chose a snake printed lace top for added detail, and my black and white leather jacket to bring some contrast. With a bright pop of red lipstick and my minimal mules, I was ready to hit any social event around the city. This look would be a great choice for any informal setting where you can be comfortable and slightly casual with with a bit of pop! Happy holidays everyone, I will see you soon with my next holiday look!

Although it has been oddly warmer these days, I figured since it is still technically winter, I would highlight some of the fur jackets, coats, and overall outerwear that has recently caught my eye. While I do love a statement fur coat, it is a style that can be too overwhelming for some. If you are a person who is a little more subtle with their fur choices, opt for a coat or jacket with a fur collar, trim, or lining. This way, you can still be eye-catching and on trend while still remaining comfortable and confident. Of course, if you’re like me and don’t mind having all eyes on you,  go for a coat with bright fur or a pattern to completely steal the show! No matter what your style is, there is always room for fur in the winter. Show me how you style it! (Don’t forget to click on the images to shop the products below!!)

Prior to this year, I was never a “poncho wearer.” Personally, I really didn’t see the need or use for them in my wardrobe, but after some careful fashion research and experimentation of my own, I finally see what I’ve been missing! Aside from being trendy, ponchos are quite practical when it comes to layering throughout the seasons. While they can serve as light layers in the spring and fall seasons, worn similarly to how I have styled the look for this post, they can also be layered more heavily. For example, during the winter months, you could layer a poncho over a sweater and leather jacket combo for an extra warm, “Lenny Kravitz-esque” look. The poncho I have styled is consisted of warm fall tones that perfectly compliment the fallen leaves around the city but not to fret, if this color palette is not to your liking ponchos come in a variety of textures and colors in almost all trendy retail stores. To balance the loose fit of my outer layer, I opted for a form fitting top with lace-up detail (another very trendy item), high wasted jeans “Mom jeans,” and my favorite Topshop tortoise heel boots. So, if you couldn’t tell by this post I am definitely sold on the poncho trend. I mean, who doesn’t love a blanket they can walk around in all day?!

Since I am in full “holiday mode,” I thought it would be cool to put together a little wishlist of a few of the items I will be asking Santa for this year! 😉 These items range in price and hopefully can help if you need some ideas on what to get the little fashionista in  your life. With Christmas and Hanukkah right around the corner, the time to find heartfelt gifts for loved ones is now; so what are you waiting for?! Tis the season to shop til’ you drop! Happy holidays!

If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I am a true holiday fanatic! The weeks leading up to Christmas is probably one of my favorite times of the year, and living in New York I get my full share of the holiday spirit. I am a sucker for all of the decorations, lights, and most importantly the shopping! Though this is not necessarily a “holiday look,” I wanted to show my excitement by doing a shoot in one of the most festive areas of the city: Rockefeller Center. This area truly becomes like something out of a Christmas Carol during the holidays and with the annual tree lighting happening tonight, I just couldn’t resist! Now on to the outfit. This look is minimal and in my opinion consists of a lot of basics that anyone could already have in their closet. The purpose of this outfit was to show that simple pieces can still make a statement. I was beyond excited to debut my satin detailed vest that I was lucky enough to get from the Balmain x H&M collaboration, even after the site crashed. To add a little texture and edge to the look I grabbed my favorite distressed jeans but still kept the look refined with a crisp white button up shirt and closed toe pumps. To me, you can never go wrong with looks like this because they always bring an element of “chic” to any occasion. So are you as pumped as I am for the holidays? Make sure that no matter what your plans are, you enjoy time with your loved ones and look fashionable doing it! 🙂
