Who said only onesies are for babies?! Ok, but seriously, jumpsuits are pretty much the best item of clothing to reach for when you’re in a rush or simply can’t figure out what top and bottom to pair together. You literally have an entire outfit in one, which makes the only hard part choosing a pair of shoes and accessories! Jumpsuits save time, money, and always look chic. You simply can’t go wrong! It feels like spring is just around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited! To be honest, I was feeling quite uninspired so I took the weekend to shop around and gather some new pieces that could lift my spirits. While it is no secret that I love a good monochrome palette, I felt like it was time to bring in some lighter tones and fabrics. On this bright and sunny day, I was finally motivated enough to bring out some new transitional pieces that put a little “spring” in my step. I’ve been looking for a loose fitting denim or chambray jumpsuit for a few seasons now and I finally found this gem at none other than Forever 21. For us shorter girls, pieces like this can sometimes look a bit unflattering or overwhelming so fit is everything, and a nice heel doesn’t hurt either. I was so happy to finally be able to ditch my coat and get away with lighter layers that I kept the look extremely simple. To add some movement and dimension, I added a longline, cream colored vest and my tortoise heeled booties. The bag that I chose has also quickly become a new favorite. I love that it fits all of my essentials and I can just grab it and head out the door. There’s really not much to this look other than being comfortable, casual, and chic. I am officially in a spring time frame of mind. BRING. IT. ON!

I am truly a fan of sheer details on garments, because in my opinion, they seem to add a bit of mystery and sexiness without being too blatant and “in your face.” With spring right around the corner, I have been looking forward to breaking out my lighter pieces and showing a bit of skin. Below are a few pieces that I would definitely rock into the warmer seasons, so check them out if you’d like! (Don’t forget to click the images below to shop my picks!)

On this snowy day instead of staying in and hibernating, I decide to take advantage of my surroundings and style an outfit to match. One of my favorite things about being a style blogger, is finding new (or forgotten) gems in my very own closet. I’ve had this white bomber for quite some time and the fact that I have never featured it on my blog was quite surprising to me. Nevertheless, I always jump at the chance to feature a “new” item, so this was my opportunity. Recently, I’ve been sticking to a pretty neutral color palette, (black, white, grey, navy, etc.) and letting the outfit’s fine details draw in the attention. For this look it was the sheer panels on the dress and the quilted design of the leather jacket. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about wearing white that has been really intriguing to me lately. While some see it as a huge risk, I think it is incredibly chic and while it is a struggle to keep my white pieces crisp and clean, it is a challenge I am willing to accept. Yet another casual look for the books I suppose. Until next time! 🙂

As stated in my latest post this week, leather jackets are by far one of my favorite wardrobe staples. Aside from just loving their edgy and structured nature, they are super versatile and can be worn throughout all seasons. They are made in almost every color imaginable and can compliment any style. So have I sold you on them yet? If for some reason you are still missing this piece in your closet, it’s about time you fill that void. Happy shopping! Leather. Denim. Knit. Fringe. These are pretty much my holy grail staple textures whenever I have no idea what to wear. By pairing two or more of these fabrics, I’m always guaranteed to walk away with a chic and casual look that can get me through the day. All of the pieces used for this look have been in my closet for at least a year and never seem to go out of style. I have quite a few leather jackets in various colors, but in my opinion a classic black is always your best bet, especially if you’re in a rush. My second fave is distressed denim. Like leather jackets, they seem to just get better with time and wear. I’ve had these since high school (believe it or not) and still can’t seem to let them go! Since we’re still facing the cold temperatures chunky knits are almost always a must. I love this one because it is one of the few non-oversized sweaters in my closet and the thick collar provides extra warmth and style. Fringe is a texture that was introduced during the summer months in relation to the 70’s trend, but can definitely be incorporated into all seasons. I’m truly a fan of it because it adds movement and interest to any outfit. Along with these classic pieces, I finished the look off with a timeless red lip and was on my way. Chic looks don’t always have to be complex, you know. Until next time! 😉

After styling my latest blog post, “Sophisticated + Tailored,” I think longline blazers may have become one of my new go-to layering pieces. Especially for those transitional periods that don’t require too many extra layers, this garment is the perfect piece of outerwear that can completely elevate your look in an instant! While causal wear is great, a few “smart” items never hurt anyone’s wardrobe. (Don’t forget to click the images below to shop my pics!)

As much as I do love a casual and cozy look, I’ve been challenging myself to create more tailored outfits that can show off my sophisticated side. For this “smart” look, I kept the foundation simple with an all-black base. When styling tailored pieces, the cut and fit of the garments are most important so these cropped trousers were absolutely perfect. I love them because they can easily take you through various seasons depending on the footwear you choose,  and can automatically elevate your outfit to keep you looking chic. Whether you’re in the office or just getting dressed up to grab drinks, I think every fashionista should own a pair of pants like these! I recently purchased this bodysuit as well, and it has already become one of my favorite pieces. Along with keeping the look sleek, it is also an amazing piece for layering considering we’re still in the cooler months. Currently, I have also been slightly obsessed with the color combination of navy and black. While they are both dark colors, there is something very appealing about them together in my opinion. To emphasize the pinstripes on the over-sized blazer, I finished the look off with my nude pumps and black chain link bag. I am aware that this look is slightly out of my typical comfort zone, but it definitely felt nice to switch things up. To be honest, I think I pull off the “professional look” quite well. What do you think? Until next time!
