Floral is probably one of the most popular prints for the spring and summer seasons. While there are many ways to style this trend, I find the easiest to be simply adding a light layer onto a very simple and casual look. By doing this, you can make a statement while still perpetuating an effortless and care-free vibe. Below are some pieces that have stood out to me lately. Happy shopping! Nothing screams “spring” like floral prints, so for this look I wanted to showcase a patterned piece that made a statement while still maintaining an overall casual and chic vibe. The focal piece, being an over-sized blazer, is actually apart of a co-ord short set, but because the temperatures are still not very consistent and I wanted a less formal look, I decided to pair it with a relaxed fit jean. In efforts to tie in some chic elements, I decided to go with minimal pieces that varied in texture while still remaining timeless and on trend. To contrast with the structure of the blazer, I threw on a satin slip dress and tucked it in slightly to really exaggerate the dainty and soft nature of the garment. For footwear, I grabbed my leather mules that literally go with EVERYTHING! After deciding against a bag, I still felt something was missing. Surprisingly enough, while being a girl who doesn’t wear much jewelry, I reached for my gunmetal choker as a finishing touch and to add a little sparkle. I bought this necklace for NYE and I’m quite thrilled at how well it has found a place in my wardrobe. I personally love looks like this, that don’t require much effort but also contain pieces that fit so well together that you may not have initially styled. Well, until next time guys!

When it comes to building a wardrobe, I tend to gravitate towards classic pieces that still have some sense of flare and manage to stand out. Whether you are looking for layering pieces or every day go-to’s, it’s important to choose items that make you feel comfortable and represent your personal style. Below are some of the staples that have caught my eye lately. Happy shopping!! (Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks!)
While I am a girl who likes statement outerwear, the pieces I tend to gravitate towards are usually pretty neutral in color. This season however, I wanted to challenge myself by stepping outside of my comfort zone and adding some brighter layers to my wardrobe. I absolutely love this coat and even though it is quite a vibrant blush color, I find that it can still be worn with a lot of different items. Since I didn’t want to overdo it with the color palette, I kept the rest of my outfit dark; well black. It’s no secret that I love a good jumpsuit, and the one I styled for this look is definitely the piece that prompted my obsession! Everything from the material, to the cut, and style make this item striking while still remaining chic. To keep the look slightly more sophisticated, I decided to accessorize with my closed toe black pumps and my new briefcase bag. This was a true “lady boss” type of look and to be honest, I was really into it. There’s nothing like an outfit that makes you feel strong, powerful, and FIERCE! Until next time friends, and please let me know what you think in the comments below!

Anyone who knows me is aware that if I choose to make a bold statement in my ensemble, it will either be executed with my outerwear or my shoes. Since we are slowly moving into warmer months, I decided to focus on some footwear options that have really caught my eye lately. Shoes, and heels in particular, can elevate almost any look and tie it together in many different ways. Whether your vibe is girly, edgy, or just straight up FIERCE, there is a heel that can match it! Check out my picks below, and don’t forget to click images for direct links to the retailers. I can’t lie, this look was the definition of last minute. It gets challenging sometimes, having to constantly put together new looks and content that stands out while still being of quality. With that being said though, I absolutely LOVE how this shoot turned out! I wouldn’t take this approach with everything, but sometimes things that take the least amount of planning have a way of falling together perfectly. Though very little thought was given to create this look, I knew I wanted to showcase something bright. My usual formula for styling looks is to find one garment that I want to focus on and build the rest of the ensemble around it. I’ve had these bright orange cigarette trousers (and basically every other item in this look) for a couple of years now and they still make an eye catching statement whenever I wear them. Since the bottom half of this look was so “loud” I chose to keep the top neutral with an oatmeal colored mock neck crop top and an over sized vintage denim jacket. To complete the look and tie it all together, I broke out my snake print pumps and my orange tinted, mirrored aviator glasses. I like that this look has a very comfortable and casual vibe to it, while still being striking, effortless, and chic. I’m not saying that I’ve completely given up on pre-planning my blog outfits, but I am slightly relieved to know that even if I’m going through a mental “style block,” the outcome can still be great! Until next time!

The bell sleeve trend is yet another style that has become increasingly popular from the 70’s decade. Whether subtle or theatrical, this detail is a great way to add some extra flare to any ensemble. I’m personally a fan, so I’ve rounded up some picks that have caught my eye recently. Happy shopping! (Don’t forget to click the images below to shop my picks!)
One of the biggest reoccurring trends that have been really making a huge statement in fashion lately, has been the 70s. It began with bohemian chic bold prints and flowwy fabrics, which then led to heavier pieces like flared, bell-bottom jeans and trousers. Now, it looks like the next trend in line coming out of this influential decade is the bell sleeve. I’ve seen this popular detail accented on a variety of garments and in styles ranging from slight and subtle to theatrically dramatic. I decided to try out this out for myself and have quickly become a fan! I love the bold sleeves on this minimally chic top, and how it brings so much life, fun, and personality to this fairly simple look. On another note, can we just take a moment to appreciate the effortlessly gorgeous combination of denim and nude? I’ve stated before that I am currently focused on building my wardrobe with classic pieces that can easily speak for themselves, and this top fell right into place. I truly think this is the happiest I’ve been with my personal style and I’m glad I get to share this evolution with you all! To complete the look, I grabbed a nude crossbody bag (since I’m desperately trying to stray away from black) and added a red lip for a fun pop of color. There’s really not much more I have to say about this ensemble except that even by the end of the night, I wasn’t ready to take it off! Until next time friends!
