For my second Tobi look, I couldn’t help but gravitate towards my go-to piece, yes, another jumpsuit. I’m really starting to think I have a problem, but I just can’t help myself! Especially for us shorter girls, jumpsuits give the illusion of a longer frame as well as just being effortlessly chic and timeless pieces. So moving from one obsession to another, I have also been loving the color navy. While it is getting warmer, I still find myself reaching for the darker shade as it adds a subtle flare of color without being too in your face or as harsh as black. Speaking of black, I don’t know who came up with the rule that navy and black could not be worn together; personally, I’m all for it! Now onto the look– Because the jumpsuit was a quite formal, sexier piece, I threw my staple cropped leather jacket on top to tone it down slightly and bring in some more casual vibes. To further the contrast, I added my iridescent heels and my light grey fringe, cross-body bag to the ensemble as well. In my opinion, the combination of all of these pieces with their varying textures and colors made for a nice, balanced look that could be appropriate for numerous occasions. What I like most about Tobi is that their pieces are buildable. While you can easily wear an item on its own, the garments are always on trend yet still simple enough so that they can be styled with items you may already have in your wardrobe. Please check out Tobi, for all of your fashion needs and don’t miss out on the 50% off for all new customers! Until next time!

The patch trend has really made a bold statement in fast fashion lately. I like the quirky twist it adds to garments while also maintaining a playful and somewhat “retro” feel. Now, you need not waste time pulling out your hot glue gun as these patchy pieces can be found pretty much anywhere. Below are a few items that caught my eye recently. Happy shopping! This look is already a new favorite! I’ve been seeing the patch trend literally EVERYWHERE lately so I couldn’t help but pick up a piece that I could easily fit into my wardrobe. Personally, I’m not much of a DIY girl thus I was never into gluing or ironing patches and badges onto my clothes. With that being said, I’ve always loved the vintage and unique feel it gave to some pieces so I knew I had to try it out! Aside from the blatant eye-catching elements of these jeans, I  was also pleased to see that they were a “mom” fit. While the “mom jean” was initially described as quite an unflattering look, they have easily become one of my favorite styles of denim. I love the combination of the relaxed fit while still making sure to accentuate the curves of the female body; sounds like a win all around if you ask me!  While I could have paired these trousers with a black top and called it a day, I wanted to play up the quirky side of the bottoms so I went with a simple metallic cropped tank. I’ve been very much into metallics lately, so when I saw that this dainty top was constructed of a leather-like material, I knew I had to have it! These pieces meshed perfectly together but in order to keep the focus on the main two items, I kept it subtle and added minimal black heeled sandals and my black backpack to finish off the look. What I love most about this look is that it is constructed of statement pieces that can be worn together or stand alone. I think the most important part about building a wardrobe is finding articles of clothing that you can wear multiple different ways and can adapt as you introduce new items to your closet. Until next time!

I am so grateful to have been selected by the lovely team at Tobi to work on a sponsored fashion collaboration. They graciously allowed me to pick out a few items to style and share with my followers; so lets get started! Tobi is a popular online-only women’s fashion boutique based in Los Angeles with an ever-changing stock for all of your fashion needs. Aside from being reasonably priced, they offer worldwide shipping, an endless variety of pieces to keep you on trend, and 50% off for new customers; so please tell me what’s not to love! While it was quite difficult to narrow my selection, I managed to shorten my list to my favorite key items which included the dress and jacket featured in this post as well as a jumpsuit that I will be showing in part 2. The dress was definitely one of the first pieces to catch my eye on the site. I really loved the interesting slate grey color of the garment as well as knot and cut out side details that added subtle, yet striking elements to the otherwise simple item. Since the weather has still been quite inconsistent, I figured looking for layering pieces wouldn’t be a bad idea; and this long-line draped jacket was just what I needed for those breezy days. Even before receiving the items, I knew these pieces would work well together, it was just a matter of what accessories I would use to complete the look. I had recently purchased these amazing, vibrant blue strappy heels which coordinated perfectly with the cool tone of the dress. In efforts to maintain a bit of contrast and tie in my black outerwear, I decided to throw on my leather cap and chain link purse for more of a “sporty chic” vibe. I am extremely pleased with how this look turned out and appreciative of everyone at Tobi for this professional and pleasant experience. The mule sandal has become quite popular as a minimal, wardrobe essential recently. While in some ways mimicking the vibe of a “granny slipper,” this style of footwear serves as a means to provide subtle height and femininity  to any look. I am truly a fan of this shoe, so please leave your comments below and click the images to shop my picks!!

Another day, another jumpsuit! I’m starting to realize that jumpsuits may be my go-to clothing piece this summer. Aside from the fact that they take little to no effort to style, they also come in different cuts and fits that make them versatile enough for any occasion. The wide-legged one piece that I decided to style for this look, is an extremely relaxed fit. Unlike some that I have worn in the past, it gives off a very “effortless,” casual vibe that makes it quite an easy piece to wear. While continuing to build off of that theme, I decided to work with minimal accessories and pair the focal piece with some subtle mules. The mule sandal, has really been a growing trend over the last few months. While paying homage to past decades, it also serves as an extremely wearable and comfortable heel that can transform daytime outfits without stealing the show. While still being newly into Spring, I find myself constantly reaching for a denim jacket. This piece of outerwear is one that has complimented many looks and still holds an important place in my wardrobe. As the days get longer and the temperatures rise, I look forward to many days of easy breezes and less complicated pieces. Until next time!

Pleats are such an intricate detail that really add elements of sophistication, quality, and elegance to any garment. This season, it seems as though many retailers are jumping on board with this accordion trend and manufacturing some extremely eye catching pieces. Below are some of the items that I have recently been gravitating towards. Happy shopping! (Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks!)

It’s no secret that I love having elements of contrast in my outfits and this look was no different. While I chose to stick with a very feminine, blush and nude color palette, the pieces themselves are quite different. The first item that caught my attention was this beautifully structured, accordion, midi skirt. I was mostly intrigued because upon first glance it appears to be a very dainty and “girly” piece, but it’s texture is surprisingly that of a more rigid fabric (quite similar to how I think  of myself lol). Next, I was on the hunt for a top! I wanted to find something that meshed well with the skirt, but at the same time wasn’t so harsh to the point where it determined the color of my accessories; needless to say, this light peachy/cream blouse was perfect. Aside from the color, the lace detail on the sleeves brought a soft and elegant detail that nicely complimented the bottom half of the look. Because I ended up with a fairly monochrome ensemble, I had a lot of different ways I could have finished off this look; but I chose to end it subtly with nude heels and a matching cross-body bag. I am a huge fan of styling simple looks that require minimal effort, but have eye-catching detail, so that the clothes and the person embodying them constantly make a statement. I’d be lying if I said this look wasn’t yet another favorite…Until next time!
