Coordinate sets, or “co-ords,” in my opinion are one of the chic-est trends in fashion at the moment! I love the versatility they bring as well as the striking presence they have when worn in a crowd. Co-ords, to me, can make anyone look polished and easily put together with minimal effort. Well now that you know how obsessed I am, I hope you have the motivation to try and experiment with co-ords on your own if you haven’t already. I’ve really been into co-ord sets and suits lately. There’s something about having one cohesive look with a matching top and bottom that in my opinion just screams”CHIC!” As soon as I saw these pieces I knew, that aside from being perfect for fall, I had to add them to my slowly growing collection. This set is made of a light knit which is super comfortable and casual enough so that it can be dressed up or down. Another added bonus about co-ords is that they are extremely versatile and can be worn both together or as separates. I definitely look forward to mixing and matching these pieces with other items in my closet and seeing what other looks I can create! With this look being pretty neutral, I decided to add some eye-catching elements with my patched bag and designer sunnies. I’ve also been basically living in these MK heels since I bought them from this amazing consignment shop. They are so classic and comfortable– I mean, a girl can never have to many pairs of black heels right? Overall, I am so happy I purchased this set and it has only validated my love for co-ords. Until next time!

While this look is simple, it incorporates just about every popular trend in women’s fashion right now (this was not done on purpose, lol). From the embroidered bomber jacket, to the choker necklace, slip dress, and staple Stan Smith Adidas sneakers…I honestly don’t think I could look like less of a typical “blogger” if I tried. By no means am I complaining though, as I am honestly a lover of each and every one of these trends. Literally, up until the day and time I was ready to shoot this look, I wasn’t quite satisfied. To let you in on a little secret, the sneakers pictured aren’t even mine but I am now determined to own them because of this shoot. I’ve been seeing these sneakers on every blogger and fashion junky religiously for about the last year and a half and while I was planning to steer clear of them for that very reason, I have since been convinced and see why everyone loves them! The comfort alone is a major selling point, but aside from that they really do go with EVERYTHING. I honestly never imagined they would be so versatile with the Kelly green logo but they seem to just….work. Long story short, I had actually brought a pair of white pumps to style with this look but the entire train ride from Harlem to the Soho shooting location, I found myself wishing I had these exact sneakers to wear instead. Luckily, the stars aligned and my awesome photographer happened to be wearing them (in my size) and loaned them to me for the shoot! Yes, she shot in her socks and I will be forever grateful! As stated previously, this look is pretty simple and straightforward. I had been on the hunt for an embroidered bomber that Zara sold about 2 years ago and with no luck finding it, I made my way to Ebay and settled for a dupe (a pretty good one at that)! Because the jacket is so eye-catching, I decided to do without a bag and kept my accessories simple with a black choker and a monogram bar necklace, gifted to me from an amazing jewelry shop based in Brooklyn called Metal Mingle. I am really quite pleased with how this look turned out considering it was so last minute. I guess it never hurts to follow trends every once in a while lol– until next time!

I think it’s safe to say that this will probably be my last official “summer look” for this year, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for the seasonal transition. While the summer months are great weather wise, I don’t feel like it is the best time for fashion– Autumn however, is a completely different story. I am beyond ready for a few light layers, booties, and the wide variety of trousers. For now though, I’ll stick to the outfit at hand. This look was fairly simple and quite “effortless” in my opinion. It’s no secret that off the shoulder or “bardot” tops have been huge this season, so when I stumbled upon this particular one I had to grab it! I love how this top incorporates the trend into the classic style button-up shirt as well as emphasizing the elongated sleeves, another trend we are seeing a lot on the runways. Because this top had so many detailed elements, I chose to have it be the focus of my look and keep the rest minimal. I threw on my distressed Levis shorts, a brown suede choker, and go-to sunnies to accessorize. To finish off the look and keep the summer flare, I decided to wear my bright yellow platform sandals. I saw these beauties on sale during one of my shopping trips and while I usually tend to keep my footwear more on the neutral side, the deal was just too good to pass up! Though simple, I really loved how this look turned out and felt that all of the pieces complimented each other quite well. I’m definitely excited to bring a few of my summer pieces into fall and see what new looks I can create by adding my favorite leather jackets! Until next time!

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of soft color palettes and fabrics making their way into fall collections and I’m definitely a fan. While this doesn’t make me like the traditional rich tones of bronze, burgundy, navy, and olive any less, there’s something about incorporating lighter colors that provides an unexpected contrast in the cooler months. Please see below for some of the pieces that have recently caught my eye, and don’t forget to click the images for direct links to the items. Happy shopping!
