I think it’s safe to say that this will probably be my last official “summer look” for this year, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for the seasonal transition. While the summer months are great weather wise, I don’t feel like it is the best time for fashion– Autumn however, is a completely different story. I am beyond ready for a few light layers, booties, and the wide variety of trousers. For now though, I’ll stick to the outfit at hand. This look was fairly simple and quite “effortless” in my opinion. It’s no secret that off the shoulder or “bardot” tops have been huge this season, so when I stumbled upon this particular one I had to grab it! I love how this top incorporates the trend into the classic style button-up shirt as well as emphasizing the elongated sleeves, another trend we are seeing a lot on the runways. Because this top had so many detailed elements, I chose to have it be the focus of my look and keep the rest minimal. I threw on my distressed Levis shorts, a brown suede choker, and go-to sunnies to accessorize. To finish off the look and keep the summer flare, I decided to wear my bright yellow platform sandals. I saw these beauties on sale during one of my shopping trips and while I usually tend to keep my footwear more on the neutral side, the deal was just too good to pass up! Though simple, I really loved how this look turned out and felt that all of the pieces complimented each other quite well. I’m definitely excited to bring a few of my summer pieces into fall and see what new looks I can create by adding my favorite leather jackets! Until next time!

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of soft color palettes and fabrics making their way into fall collections and I’m definitely a fan. While this doesn’t make me like the traditional rich tones of bronze, burgundy, navy, and olive any less, there’s something about incorporating lighter colors that provides an unexpected contrast in the cooler months. With September being right around the corner, I thought it was time to slowly start incorporating some fall pieces back into my wardrobe. While still remaining weather and season appropriate, I decided to pair this gorgeous tiered dress with my tortoise heel ankle boots. I absolutely loved the soft hue and fabric of the dress against the textured leather on my shoes as well as the fringe on my backpack. Because I wanted the movement of the pieces to be the focus of the ensemble, I kept my accessories minimal (per usual, lol). I’ve literally been wearing this thick, ribbon choker with everything and I have no intentions of stopping! Being someone who is not that keen on wearing loads of jewelry, I find that simple necklaces and rings that go with everything suit my everyday fashion needs best! I am also personally loving the idea of pastels for the fall and plan to definitely make them a trend in my closet this season. Overall, I feel like I’m off to a good start in terms of styling my fall looks, and I can’t wait to see what other inspiration I can draw from my favorite season. Until next time!

Surprisingly, mini skirts have become one of my new favorite versatile pieces, especially for fall. Whether paired with sneakers, heels, sweaters, or classic button ups, this garment is one that has definitely become a growing staple in my wardrobe. Please see below for some of the minis that have recently caught my eye. (Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks!)

It honestly took me a while to take interest in the mini skirt trend. I’m not sure if it was because my last memories of that garment were being layered over leggings in the early 2000’s (a trend that for the record I NEVER participated in) or if I just wasn’t comfortable styling them. Either way, I have since gotten over it all and my skirt collection has been rapidly growing. It all started last fall, when suede and leather minis were popping up everywhere and seemed to match perfectly with my favorite pair of thigh high boots. Ever since then I was hooked and my obsession began. The skirt I styled for this look is actually my first non-leather mini. I was initially attracted to its bright colors and intricate stitching. I knew it would be a great garment for the warmer months and also useful as a transitional piece going into fall. Because this was the focal point of the ensemble, I kept the other elements pretty simple. I could have really gone with any color shirt, but I slightly stepped outside of my comfort zone and opted for a powder blue button up rather than the classic white. To tie in the dark background color of the skirt, I accessorized with my black minimal heels, a small cross-body bag, and a thick choker necklace. This chic look was perfect because while it is eye catching, it is also simple enough to put together for those sweltering days when even getting dressed is a hassle. Until next time!

Lately, I have really taken a liking to flouncy, printed dresses. While they do sometimes remind me of garments my grandmother may have once owned, there is something about their delicate nature and bold statements that really intrigue me. Below are a few pieces that have caught my eye recently. Don’t forget to click the images for direct links to purchase. Happy shopping!

This post is sooooo long overdue, but I’m quite thrilled to finally be back in the groove of things! To be honesty floaty, and what I like to call “grandma dresses” really aren’t my usual style, but this season I have really taken a liking to them! This dress in particular stood out to me because of its daintiness, as well as the super feminine details such as the cold shoulder and open back. Needless to say, the moment I saw that it was on sale, it was MINE! Initially, I wanted to style this garment with some minimal heels and really play up the “girly” vibe. Yet, being the lover of contrast that I am, I decided to go in a different direction and instead throw on my chunky “birkenstock-esque” sandals. I much preferred this look with the flat shoes because it added an element of coolness that in my opinion was needed. In efforts to keep the emphasis on the dress, I accessorized very slightly with simple silver band rings and my aviator sunglasses. I definitely feel like this piece was beyond worth the money and who knows, it may be the start of a new style evolution for me. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see; until next time! 🙂

A lot of the popular trends that have been popping up on runways and in retailers everywhere stem from the 90’s era. From slip dresses, crop tops, metallics, and brown lipstick, the influence from that decade is at an all time high. Yet, the biggest trend of them all is everyone’s (including myself) new favorite piece of jewelry, the choker necklace. Personally, I love the variety of these pieces and how they can elevate any outfit no matter how minimal or intricate. Please see below for the chokers that have recently caught my eye.
