If I had to choose, blazers would definitely be in my top 5 Fall essentials. They are the perfect light layer to instantly elevate and add structure to the most basic ensemble with minimal effort. I also love the variations of style, texture, and fit which each bring a different vibe. In my personal wardrobe I like to maintain a balance of tailored and oversized options, but I’ve also begun to gravitate towards dresses as well. The blazer dress is the perfect hybrid of formal and casual. Regardless of the setting, you can easily style these pieces with a plethora of accessories that will take your look from day to night. For this particular shoot, I was eager to wear this pale yellow frock in a wrap style. From the moment I saw it, I knew it would be a great closet addition due to it’s functionality and adaptability. Whether going to a business meeting, brunch, or running errands around the city, I am truly prepared for anything in this outfit! That being said, I chose to pair it down with a classic pair of white sneakers to really heighten the contrast and give more of a “street-style” edge. To further play into this juxtaposition, I still wanted to keep my jewelry dainty and therefore added a few gold pieces as well as a necklace featuring some pearl accents. Finally, to complete the look, I threw on an oversized pair of tortoise sunnies and was on my way! Despite not wearing heels, I still felt like a total BOSS in this ensemble and will continue to challenge the stereotype of what it means to look “professional” through clothing. Though I am growing increasingly more excited for the transition into the new season, I could not help but take the next few weeks as an opportunity to crank out any last minute Summer looks I have yet to style. I think we can all agree that the biggest trend so far this year has been bold, saturated color. While I didn’t go too crazy, I definitely added a few pieces to my wardrobe that fit the bill and this skirt was no exception! It actually belongs to a two-piece set but for this particular styling session, I felt that using just one of the garments was more than enough to achieve the vibe I desired. Since I was working with such a bold print, I knew I wanted to include elements that were both complimentary as well as paired down for a subtle contrast. I was initially contemplating a few variations of white crop-tops, but in the end decided to go with the simplest option which was a plain ribbed tank. Along with highlighting some of the negative space in the skirt’s pattern, it also provided a nice balance to the ensemble overall. For footwear, I chose to take a bit of a risk and incorporate my newest pair of heels. From the moment I saw them, I knew they were a showstopper that belonged in my wardrobe. For some, I understand how this pairing could be a bit much, but for me they were absolutely perfect! As if this look couldn’t get any brighter, I took it a step further by also opting for a pink crossbody bag which really took things to the next level. As a final touch, I threw on some silver framed sunnies and jewelry to match the hardware on my accessories and keep them cohesive. I’m not sure if I’ve ever worn an outfit packed with so much color, but I truly enjoyed how it turned out and feel like I can officially go into Fall with no regrets! We are now officially in the last month of Summer and though I am always excited for the start of Fall, I wanted to create a look that truly captured the essence of the current season. For starters, I knew that this outfit could not have an ounce of black or any dark colors despite my love of contrast. I really wanted to keep the overall ensemble light, fresh, and airy while highlighting some of my favorite styles and pieces. The “milk maid” or bardot trend has remained a flirty staple during the hotter months, and I was instantly drawn to this perforated version from the moment I saw it. I was a bit hesitant because this was an online purchase, however, the quality left me pleasantly surprised. Recently, I also added a pair of cut-out jeans to my collection which were unlike anything I currently own. Though I wasn’t sure how flattering these would look on me, again, I was elated from the moment I tried them on. While this may be a matter of preference, two things that have seemed to go hand-in-hand during this time of year are vacations and gold jewelry. Being a huge fan of both, I really wanted to convey those vibes with my accessories. Heeled sandals are probably my most worn style of shoe during the summertime, so I used this as an opportunity to break out a pair I’ve been dying to wear. In efforts to keep my metals consistent, I grabbed my favorite oversized aviator frames and a dainty pair of hoops. Lastly I incorporated a light charcoal bag featuring a croc design for an added bit of texture and was quite pleased with the look overall! I could definitely see myself wearing this outfit for a variety of occasions while feeling chic, stylish, and on trend. Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

Despite the temperatures steadily rising, there has been no shortage of knit garments rolling out from various designers and retailers. I’ve often given thought as to why this could be considering we usually associate this textile with the colder months. That being said, I personally am a fan of the subtle texture and structure that knitwear provides; especially during a time where most people are wearing more common lightweight fabrics such as chiffon, linen, and chambray. When I initially saw this salmon colored co-ord, I was intrigued by the hue but highly skeptical of the fit. Needless to say, I proceeded to place my order and simply hoped for the best. To my surprise the thin and rather clingy fabric was of good quality, and the pieces were extremely comfortable (not overly constricting in any way). This bright shade of coral made the ensemble perfect for the current season and while I was fairly confident wearing it as is, I decided to layer an oversized blazer on top for added elevation and chicness. For shoes, I almost went with something neutral but at the last minute decided to color-block with lime green mules, which created more of a “watermelon-like” palette. To balance the brighter tones and tie in my muted outerwear piece, I added an iridescent pair of sunnies and chandelier earrings featuring pearl accents. Overall, this outfit is more on the preppy side of what I’m used to and definitely had me considering taking up golfing (LOL!). Jokes aside, I’m excited to wear this look out and about and potentially add similar polo-style sets to my wardrobe collection. In my personal opinion, highlighting juxtaposition is the easiest way to create a dynamic outfit. Whether you’re contrasting masculine & feminine pieces, drastically different textures and/or fabrics, I truly believe this is one of they key factors to having an elevated sense of style. Though we are still a few days away from the official start of Summer, the heatwaves have already begun and it’s definitely time to pull out those breathable wardrobe essentials! When it comes to textiles for this time of year, linen is probably one of the most popular. With designer brands like Jacquemus and Cult Gaia leading the pack in terms of vacation-wear, it seems like light and airy garments are more sought after than ever. From the moment I saw this white frock with strappy open-back detailing, I knew it was going to be a staple in my closet over the next few months. I had initially planned to style it a bit later, but after a few 90 degree days, I figured there was no better time than now! Though pairing this dress with heels would’ve been an easy choice, I wanted to bring a bit more edge to this rather dainty piece. Within the last month, I had also recently purchased what has easily become my favorite, and soon to be most worn sandal. These “flatforms” are everything any chic city dweller would need when hitting the pavement for hours on end; cushion, support, grip, and style. It also didn’t hurt that the laces somewhat mirrored my dress accents which made for a nice synergy. With my look nearly complete, I decided to keep my bag fairly neutral with a black and straw crossbody option which really enhanced those picnic or “walk in the park” vibes. Lastly I threw on an angular pair of light tortoise sunnies, and a red lip for a bold pop of color. I truly can’t wait for another opportunity to wear this ensemble and see what Summer 2021 has in store! Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

When it comes to color combinations, brown and blue is one that I personally love and have styled in a variety of ways on several occasions. It’s no secret that the chocolate shade was one of the biggest trends last year, and though more vibrant tones have taken over for the time being, I have no doubt it will resurface again towards the end of 2021. During an online retail therapy session, I came across this bodycon matching set and instantly knew I had to have it! Aside from the fact that it was giving all of the 90’s Mariah Carey “Butterfly” album cover vibes, it was also unlike anything I currently own in my wardrobe. Though I absolutely love statement pieces, I also genuinely appreciate garments that are simple enough to create an effortless, yet eye-catching ensemble. Because my foundation was so plain, I knew I had to include some striking elements that would really make my look pop! Towards the beginning of Spring, I purchased a tweed plaid blazer featuring gorgeous abstract shaped tortoise buttons. This striking accent detail matched perfectly with my co-ord, while also adding a balance of light, since I was working with a fairly dark base. My outerwear piece also incorporated teal threading in the pattern, which I chose to highlight with a bucket bag in a similar hue. For shoes, I kept it simple with a pair of black heeled sandals and was ready for brunch, date night, or an evening on the town with the girls. With the sense of normalcy steadily returning, the excitement of getting dressed up is also at an all time high! I look forward to recreating this look IRL and enjoying the simple moments we took for granted over the last year. Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

As we continue moving into the warmer months, dressing can become increasingly difficult as we must constantly be aware that any slight shift in temperature can result in being too hot or too cold. Though every person is different and has a specific tolerance when it comes to weather, knowing this crucial detail can help you stay comfortable throughout the day. Personally, I know that as long as my upper body is covered I will remain warm for the most part. Keeping this top of mind is also what kept me focused when deciding how to style this fuchsia mini skirt. I’ve had this piece for a few weeks now and was tempted to just wait until Summer and pair it with some heeled sandals (which I’ll still do, btw). Fortunately, my impatience got the best of me and I was determined to create a look that was more “Spring-appropriate.” Because satin is a fairly thin fabric, I knew I wanted to style it with more substantial pieces that could provide a balance as well as create a solid foundation for the overall ensemble. That aside, I had also recently purchased 2 sweater vests that had been sitting in my closet waiting to be worn. I initially felt this trend was a bit out of my comfort zone, yet every time I saw these garments styled on someone else I absolutely loved the look and knew I had to give it a try. Finally, the opportunity presented itself and the outfit slowly came together. I really loved the juxtaposition of the dainty skirt against the chunky cable knit but I knew I could take it a step further! I’ve been obsessed with button up shirts lately and jumped at the chance to incorporate this gorgeous version featuring openwork detailing and elegant puffed sleeves. As I made my way to accessories, I knew that I wanted to keep things fairly simple since I already had quite a few textures in the mix. That said, I still wanted to bring in some additional contrast so, as always, it made sense to throw in a few black pieces. (Sidebar: If you’ve been following my style journey for a while, you’ll know that I rarely style an outfit that does not include some element/piece that is black). Starting with my favorite chelsea boots, I made sure to incorporate this dark shade at each level of the look with a matching shoulder bag and some rectangular frames. Though it took me a while wo warm up to this outfit, I’m quite a fan of how it turned out and would love to know your favorite featured piece so comment below! Until next time!

Personally, I take pride in adding pieces to my wardrobe that are unique and “on trend,” without being so popular that they are seen on every person or fashion enthusiast walking down the streets of Soho. I’d say that while I do pretty well for myself, I am nowhere near a tax bracket that could afford the most exclusive garments. That being said, I try to be strategic with my shopping and pick up items that are eye-catching when styled, but may not stand out to any and everyone on the hanger. I had gone back and forth about this jacquard jacket for weeks before deciding to officially make it my own. To be honest, there was nothing I didn’t like about it and my hesitation almost made me completely miss out on this absolute stunner! The overall cut, fabric, and floral motif gave it the most elegant yet vintage aesthetic that I knew would bring so much life to any ensemble it was paired with. Because I was working with such a bold article of outerwear, it was imperative that I kept the rest of the outfit toned down; and what’s more simple than a classic white t-shirt and jeans?! In my opinion, these pieces made for the best foundation since I didn’t want to risk clashing in any way. With the clothing portion finalized, I knew I still had some room to play around with accessories! The same day I went to pick up my cropped blazer, I also purchased this stunning croc textured bag which seamlessly coordinated with the darker undertones. For another subtle pop of color, I added my pale yellow mules which highlighted the more vibrant hues. Lastly, I finished off the look with a chunky gold necklace and matching oversized sunglasses. This casual outfit brings me so much joy because it truly embodies the Spring season effortlessly! Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

Every now and then, I too get tired of my heels and will opt for a pair of sneakers (shocking, I know). While I don’t have many to choose from, the two staples that I strongly feel are a must in all wardrobes are an all white option as well as a more vibrant or colorful style. Especially as we move into the warmer months and are out and about more, having comfortable footwear is an absolute must! Aside from that, the juxtaposition of having an extremely feminine dress or blouse paired with casual trainers, is something I’ve always been a fan of when it comes to styling. Spring is definitely a season where I feel like denim truly gets its time to shine! Recently I’ve refreshed my own collection with a few new pieces including this acid wash dress featuring voluminous sleeves. Though I could have easily paired this frock with any style of heeled sandal, I was not satisfied with that idea. As a last minute decision the morning of this particular shoot, the light bulb finally went off and I knew that my multi-colored kicks were the missing piece to the ensemble. They instantly brought an element of playfulness and interest that no other shoe in my closet could’ve done. For accessories, I had been waiting for the perfect moment to style this cream colored baguette bag. On top of being obsessed with the 90’s reference, I couldn’t resist the chunky gold chain that made the bag an instant showstopper! For jewelry I chose to stay consistent by matching my metals accordingly, and as a final touch added some aviator frames. I felt so comfortable in this look and am interested to see if this is the year I finally transition into becoming a full on sneakerhead (KIDDING, LOL)! Every now and then we come across pieces that make us stop in our tracks and without hesitation, instantly find a place in our wardrobe. Like most of the fashion enthusiasts, I’ve been gravitating towards color in a way that is unlike ever before. Not only is this a reoccurring trend for Spring, but I also feel like this influx of bright hues represents somewhat of a celebration for getting through one of the toughest years the world has seen in quite some time. I’ve always been drawn to bold, unique trousers so when I stumbled across this turquoise croc-textured pair my mind was instantly blown! I actually styled a similar version in burgundy a couple months ago and was beyond excited to see the same brand come out with a more Spring appropriate color way. It was a no-brainer that these pants would be the star of any ensemble so it was just a matter of building around them. I knew that black would most likely be the contrasting shade, to coordinate with the button fastening. Aside from color, the cut-out trend has also been huge as we progress into warmer months. Recently I had been graciously gifted a few garments from a new independent brand and I couldn’t have been more impressed with the quality! This knit provided the perfect balance of texture and femininity, while still maintaining some of that eye-catching edge! Though the look was nearly complete, I still wanted to carefully choose my accessories. My favorite strappy mules seemed like the most obvious option for footwear but in efforts to break up the darker elements, I chose to go the metallic route! When I saw this bag in store years ago I was so hesitant to buy it because I wasn’t sure if I’d get my cost per wear. To my surprise, this has become one of my most show-stopping pieces and always brings a level of interest to any outfit I style it with. Lastly, I completed the look with my rimless clear frames which have also gotten tons of wear and are still getting compliments to this day.
