Blazers, suits, and tailoring in general has become a staple theme in my wardrobe throughout the years. That being said, despite the classic history that suiting has, I always tend to find myself gravitating towards more modern cuts, textiles, and design elements that bring a level of juxtaposition that truly excites me! I don’t own many co-ords (if any) that incorporate shorts, so when I saw this grey 3-piece ensemble I was instantly intrigued. It was so simple yet effortlessly chic, and absolutely perfect for a variety of Summer activities, whether business or pleasure. While I opted to forego the vest (for now), I was thrilled when I finally received the other two pieces. The fit of each garment was superb and the subtle characteristics of the shoulder pads, pleats, and slightly slanted cut of the bottoms, conveyed a strong yet feminine vibe that could not have made a more satisfying pairing. In efforts to coordinate with the dark buttons on the jacket, I knew my accent color would be black. I actually purchased this top almost two years ago for my very first trip to Paris, and sadly didn’t get a chance to wear it. However, with a little time, patience, and the right outfit, it was definitely worth the wait! Another recent obsession of mine has been with rosette accents. Regardless of the item they adorn, they always seems to add an unexpected playfulness that reminds me not to take fashion too seriously– it’s just clothes at the end of the day! I finished the look with a minimal shoulder bag, my favorite cat-eye frames, and some gunmetal jewelry to match my heeled sandals. I felt like such a boss in this outfit, and have no doubt that this suit will remain in my closet for years to come. Comment below your favorite featured piece and until next time!
