It’s so beautiful and refreshing to see everything begin to bloom and take on new life as we move into the warmer seasons; so, it was only right that I capture some of nature’s beauty and feature the gorgeous cherry blossom trees. This is the second look I styled in collaboration with the Eggie brand, and I honestly think it might have been my favorite! When I initially saw this sustainable top on the website I was drawn to it immediately. At the same time, I was also anxious to receive and find out if I could actually pull it off. To my surprise, it completely exceeded my expectations in terms of quality, fit, and overall details. Because it was white however, I was left with plenty of options in terms of what to pair it with (which is not a bad problem to have, might I add). I had recently saw and purchased a pair of cream, paper bag waist, faux leather shorts; and though I was excited to wear them, a part of me felt like maybe it was too soon. That said, I ended up taking my chances and styling the pieces together despite my hesitation. At this point, being that my color palette was so light, I wanted to find a way to even it out with a bit of contrast. I had also bought a pair of black embossed mules and decided to add them to my ensemble which brought a casual, more “daytime-appropriate” vibe. For accessories, I didn’t want to miss out on an opportunity to showcase my new mini wrist-bag; and it couldn’t have been delivered at a more perfect time! The multi-colored stripes really helped to tie in each garment as well as the shoes, to create one cohesive outfit. Lastly, no Spring/Summer look would be complete without a pair of sunglasses, so I grabbed my black cat-eye frames and the look was complete! The overall combination of feminine and edgy pieces is really one of my favorite juxtapositions, as it truly defines my style perfectly and is the foundation of a lot of my looks. Let me know in the comments your favorite part about Spring and until next time!

It’s no secret that the neon trend is here to stay, but I must admit, I’m honestly at a point where I can only tolerate it in small doses. Though striking, I feel like it has been a bit overdone at this point and it may be time to scale back on the fluorescence. I was lucky enough to have recently been contacted by the generous folks at Eggie, and was asked to select a few pieces from their 2019 festival collection. What I love most about this brand, aside from the fact that it was created by a fellow influencer, is the awareness brought to the importance of sustainable clothing; and, as an added bonus, means that these pieces are built to last and can survive in your wardrobe for many seasons to come! (I’ll be featuring more items from this brand in the upcoming blog posts as well so stay tuned!) Over time I’ve slowly become a girl that loves her tailoring, so when I saw this unique cold-shoulder blazer, I knew I had to give it a try. Because this piece is such a standout and has the most beautiful neckline, I didn’t want to over-accessorize with too much jewelry or other garments that might clash. Luckily, I remembered that I had a pair of denim biker shorts coming in the mail and they ended up being the perfect complimentary piece. To brighten up look and play off the seasonal Spring excitement, I couldn’t resist adding a pop of color with a sleek yet vibrant pair of strappy chartreuse mules. Last but certainly not least, I added my vinyl baker boy cap for a bit of edge and my natural woven mini backpack which really pulled out the cream shades in the plaid detail on the jacket. I was beyond pleased with how this outfit turned out and can absolutely see myself rocking it to brunch very soon. Comment below your favorite item from this look and until next time!

There’s nothing like breaking out a new pair of white sandals on a sunny Spring or Summer day! No matter what the style may be, they always tend to add a sleekness to any look while showcasing elements of timeless minimalism. Below I’ve rounded up a few variations that are sure to compliment a wide variety of ensembles this season. Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks and until next time!

It may be a shock that blue is not a favorite color of mine as it seems to be a common factor in a lot of my recent looks. That being said, whether this hue is currently on trend or I’m just organically gravitating towards it, I am enjoying the presence it’s been having in my wardrobe. Usually when shopping for pieces to shoot, I tend to seek out at least one item that is either statement-making or something that I am able to transform and style in an unexpected way. Of course, while there may be an excitement that comes with that, every now and then I like to scale things back and style a more “obvious” look. Most retailers are currently promoting their new Spring/Summer collections and with that comes an abundance of vibrant colors, bold prints, and vacation-wear galore. So, in efforts to create an ensemble that I felt completely embodied the season, I chose to keep things simple with a floral blouse and straight-legged denim (ground-breaking, I know). I’m not quite sure what it was, but these garments together truly gave me the effortless feel I was hoping to portray. While the blue shade was probably the subtlest in the overall pattern of the shirt, when paired with the extremely light wash jeans, it seemed to become the most eye-catching. To keep the outfit delicate and minimal, I decided to complete it with a pair of strappy white mules which were absolutely perfect for my simplistic theme. Lastly, to take the cool tones one step further, I gave a nod to the 90’s with a pair of tinted frames featuring the most nostalgic aqua-colored lenses. I feel like I’ve been a huge fan of the “less is more” motto when it comes to my styling lately and truly believe that not every outfit has to necessarily have “shock value” to be great or attention-grabbing. Whether made of straw, wood, beaded, or woven, “natural bags” have become increasingly popular during the Spring and Summer seasons. They definitely add a bohemian element to any look as well as those beach vacation vibes we all look forward to every year. Below I’ve rounded up a few options that I could see myself styling over the next few months. Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks and until next time!

The weather is finally warming up, so I decided to test the waters and show off a bit of skin with this look. While doing some online research, I was instantly drawn to this camel colored suit. However, though the belted jacket did in fact come with a pair of matching trousers, I thought it would be cute to style it as a frock; considering it seemed long enough to do so and I had been meaning to give this “blazer dress” trend a try. Honestly, the only thing that was of slight concern to me was the color. As much as I loved how rich and neutral it was, I wasn’t sure if it would wash me out against my skin tone. Luckily that was not the case, and I was more than pleased with everything about this tailored garment. From the cut, to the wide belt, and tiny button details; this piece looked sophisticated and chic in every way. In efforts to tone things down and keep the look a little less formal, I decided to throw on my sneakers and white tube socks for a cool, effortless contrast. As this look was so warm toned, I thought that gold accessories would be the perfect option to really highlight those sandy hues. I had recently purchased the most gorgeous pair of transparent teardrop earrings with gold accent flakes and knew they would bring a beautiful elegance to the overall look. As a final touch, I stumbled across a wooden cross-body bag, that truly felt like the last piece of this fashion puzzle. Though quite reminiscent of a coconut, the spherical shape and texture brought an unexpected bohemian element I didn’t even know I needed! Bags made of natural materials such as wood and straw are always quite popular during the warmer seasons, so I was happy to incorporate one into my look. I loved how this ensemble pulled together so many different style genres and portrayed how they can all coexist and compliment each other in a seamless way. Comment below your favorite piece from this look and how/if you would’ve styled anything differently. Until next time!

In my opinion, belts are a severely underrated staple accessory. Long gone are the days of simply using them to hold up your pants; as they have now transformed into an all-purpose product for waist defining, garment cinching, and instant outfit elevation.  Whether skinny or wide, textured or printed, belts can easily add intriguing elements to any look, creating a more polished and put-together ensemble overall. Below I’ve rounded up a few styles that I would definitely add to my wardrobe to help bring a bit more interest to my 2019 outfits. As much as we’ve all anticipated the arrival of Spring, dressing for the unpredictable season can sometimes be a bit challenging. Despite the varying temperature changes throughout the day, there’s also the constant possibility of a rain storm at any moment. That being said, this is also a transitional time full of growth, and new beginnings! Having the opportunity to try out new pieces from the Who What Wear Collection has really prompted me to start thinking about my personal style this season and how I may want to revamp my wardrobe. Delicate fabrics are always a key indicator that we’re shifting into warmer months, and I’ve truly enjoyed creating a variety of looks with them especially when it comes to layering. To be completely honest though, while I did choose this flowy printed skirt as one of my favorites, I began to second guess my decision upon receiving. Aside from the length slightly troubling me, green is not a color that I wear often; but I was determined to make it work! For me, what truly saved this garment were the buttons. I loved that I could adjust them to my liking which gave the illusion of added height, not to mention the gorgeous movement it allowed with every strut and spin. In efforts to be mindful of the weather and keep things casual, I decided to throw on an over-sized sweatshirt. The mock neck detail truly made this top chicer than your average pullover, yet unfortunately it was still a bit shapeless. To define my waistline, I added a black belt with gold hardware and finished off the look with sock boots to match. Accessories were key for this look, and lucky for me, I had the perfect olive green and gold earrings to tie everything together. Lastly, for a bit of a wild card, I grabbed my grey leather backpack with matching metal accents to expand the color palette and add a final touch of interest. I personally love ensembles that are simple but can easily be elevated with the addition of statement making pieces; most of which already existed in my own closet, believe it or not! Though I’m not the most experimental when it comes to my hair and typically have it pulled back into a sleek protective bun, hair health is definitely important to me. There are so many elements that can affect your hair from what you use to wash and style, weather conditions, diet, and various fabrics. With the weather heating up and festival season right around the corner, I was thrilled when I was contacted by Pantene and they informed me that they’re the official haircare sponsor of Coachella, Stagecoach, and Firefly this year. They asked me to try out their new Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots and shampoo from their Gold Series Collection for all my post-festival haircare needs. What I truly love about this iconic brand, is that aside from promoting the importance of healthy hair, they also strive to create products that highlight and work best for specific hair types. With Spring finally here, and festival season approaching, it’s time to pay more attention to our hair; from the beaming sun, chlorine from pools and the harsh desert sand, these elements can all cause damaged hair, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to combat the damage!

The Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots treatment was designed to revive the most over-processed, over-styled, and over-worked hair; and while that is a pretty big claim, I can definitely attest to the fact that my hair felt incredibly soft and hydrated after my first use. I also love the fact that they come in single-dose tubes, so there’s no need to worry about wasting product or trying to measure that exact amount. They’re super easy to use: simply apply for 30 seconds and rinse for 30 seconds. They are instructed for use weekly after your normal shampoo routine, and I personally plan to keep this product as a permanent final step on my wash days. These are now the #1 selling new treatment item in the haircare category and will definitely come in handy in your post-festival haircare routine.

The Gold Series Collection was created to provide strength and moisture for women with relaxed, natural, or transitioning hair. This product was ideal for me as I’ve been natural for about 7 years now, and I’m constantly looking for new products to help my hair maintain its moisture and strength. Another plus is that all of the items from this line are sulfate-free, paraben-free, and silicone-free which is key for all textured hair types. To keep the focus on the vibrant gold packaging, I chose to keep my outfit neutral with a black and white hounds-tooth printed dress. I absolutely loved the movement this frock gave with every step as well as the necktie detail which added a bit of feminine sophistication. For a pop of color, I chose chunky yellow platform sandals and fishnet socks for a slightly more unexpected element. I finished off the look with a corset belt, and a clear vinyl bag to showcase my products in the chicest way I could think of. The perfect festival outfit! So with that being said, grab  your Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots, favorite Pantene shampoo and bring on the festivals, vacations, and outdoor activities because no one has time for damaged hair in 2019! Get your hands on the new Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots here. Until next time!
