Nothing screams “Spring” like floral prints and dresses; and as easy as they are to style, they can also make wonderful layering pieces for t-shirts, button ups, and even turtlenecks! Check out some of the dresses I’ve rounded up below and don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks. Until next time!

I find inspiration all around me when thinking of new looks to style and in my opinion, the Fall season has the most unique elements to choose from. For this look, I wanted to create an ensemble reminiscent of the rich brown and orange tones in the leaves as they begin to turn. I have been longing to break out my thigh high boots all summer, and now is finally the perfect time! Over the last few seasons my mini skirt collection has also grown, and I knew this one would be perfect for an autumn look as soon as I picked it up. The soft suede texture and bronze hardware really captured the essence of this time of year and because it is pretty neutral, it left me a lot of room to find a matching piece. I honestly, don’t think I could have found a more perfect blouse to pair with this skirt. The warm hues in the floral print as well as the slight frills on the sleeves and around the collar, really brought this look together and added a softer feminine touch. As I wanted to keep the focus on the clothing items I hardly wore any accessories and just threw on an open front cardigan to add a bit more dimension and layering. I absolutely love the Fall and looks like these because they are very buildable. On a colder day, add some tights, a leather jacket, and a scarf; if it gets a bit warmer opt for a lighter denim jacket and short booties. I intend to make the most out of this weather before it gets too cold and cute (practical) outerwear is my only option. Until next time!

To be honest, this look was completely inspired by street style. I had been seeing so many trendy girls rocking midi-length floral dresses with leather jackets lately, I knew I had to add one to my collection. During the cooler months it’s easy to get stuck in the “pants-only” rut, so I decided to challenge myself and continue to style more feminine pieces for a bit longer. I’ve never been a fan of super bright florals so when I saw this pattern I was instantly attracted to the subdued neutral tones that were incorporated. Aside from that I was also drawn to the lace overlay and the eye catching cold-shoulder detail. All in all, this dress was everything I was looking for and I knew exactly how I wanted to style it! A few blog posts ago, I fell in love with the Stan Smith Adidas sneakers and since then I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of my own. While I didn’t end up getting that exact pair, I opted for the new “superstars” that are just as versatile and fit perfectly into my wardrobe. One color that I don’t typically accessorize with is grey, but I noticed hints of it in the dress and thought it would make for an interesting accent color to tie the look together. With that in mind, I finished the look off with my fringe crossbody bag and matching choker. This ensemble turned out to be everything I had imagined for the fall season and I can’t wait to style this dress again, maybe with some booties and a cute jacket. Who knows what I’ll come up with, but until next time!

Another day, another jumpsuit! I’m starting to realize that jumpsuits may be my go-to clothing piece this summer. Aside from the fact that they take little to no effort to style, they also come in different cuts and fits that make them versatile enough for any occasion. The wide-legged one piece that I decided to style for this look, is an extremely relaxed fit. Unlike some that I have worn in the past, it gives off a very “effortless,” casual vibe that makes it quite an easy piece to wear. While continuing to build off of that theme, I decided to work with minimal accessories and pair the focal piece with some subtle mules. The mule sandal, has really been a growing trend over the last few months. While paying homage to past decades, it also serves as an extremely wearable and comfortable heel that can transform daytime outfits without stealing the show. While still being newly into Spring, I find myself constantly reaching for a denim jacket. This piece of outerwear is one that has complimented many looks and still holds an important place in my wardrobe. As the days get longer and the temperatures rise, I look forward to many days of easy breezes and less complicated pieces. Until next time!

Floral is probably one of the most popular prints for the spring and summer seasons. While there are many ways to style this trend, I find the easiest to be simply adding a light layer onto a very simple and casual look. By doing this, you can make a statement while still perpetuating an effortless and care-free vibe. Below are some pieces that have stood out to me lately. Happy shopping! Nothing screams “spring” like floral prints, so for this look I wanted to showcase a patterned piece that made a statement while still maintaining an overall casual and chic vibe. The focal piece, being an over-sized blazer, is actually apart of a co-ord short set, but because the temperatures are still not very consistent and I wanted a less formal look, I decided to pair it with a relaxed fit jean. In efforts to tie in some chic elements, I decided to go with minimal pieces that varied in texture while still remaining timeless and on trend. To contrast with the structure of the blazer, I threw on a satin slip dress and tucked it in slightly to really exaggerate the dainty and soft nature of  the garment. For footwear, I grabbed my leather mules that literally go with EVERYTHING! After deciding against a bag, I still felt something was missing. Surprisingly enough, while being a girl who doesn’t wear much jewelry, I reached for my gunmetal choker as a finishing  touch and to add a little sparkle. I bought this necklace for NYE and I’m quite thrilled at how well it has found a place in my wardrobe. I personally love looks like this, that don’t require much effort but also contain pieces that fit so well together that you may not have initially styled. Well, until next time guys!

Outerwear is the last piece we put on when completing an outfit and also the last opportunity we have at turning an outfit from drab to FAB! Luckily, in those dire situations we can breathe a sigh of relief because bomber jackets have taken the lead in being the statement pieces we often lust for. Below are a few of the jackets that have really caught my eye lately and can absolutely serve as the bold piece needed to elevate your look. Happy shopping! I’ve noticed a lot more statement pieces this year for spring, than in the past. This season, it seems like the leading “F” in fashion stands for FUN, and a lot of designers and retailers are putting  quite a bit more personality and life into their clothing. One of the main items I’ve seen making bold statements has been outerwear; specifically, bomber jackets. The bomber jacket trend became quite popular a few seasons ago in the traditional olive green, but this year it’s back and better than ever! Jackets with intricate details, floral prints, and shiny satin material have been showing up in most major retail stores and adding a “pop” to outfits everywhere. Being a lover of contrast, I just couldn’t pass up this jacket. I’m obsessed with how the soft feminine print plays off of the sporty vibe of the garment. With such a bold piece, I kept the rest of the look pretty simple with a slightly distressed, frayed edge skinny jean and black strappy heels. To keep the outfit playful and light, I added my new taupe fringe bag and was on my way! Statement jackets are a very easy way to add some interest to an otherwise simple or rather dull look without putting forth too much effort. In my opinion you can never go wrong, but what do you think?? Are you loving this trend, or do you think it’s just a fad that will be gone tomorrow (or next summer)? Comment your thoughts below, until next time!

With only a few weeks left of summer, I figured I was running out of opportunities to bring out my bold floral prints so I decided to take advantage. This cut out jumpsuit is a piece I’ve had for a couple of years now and it still never fails to make a statement and remain one of my favorite summer items. As far as comfort and ease, this piece takes the cake by far and requires hardly any effort at all when it comes to styling. The look was definitely inspired by festival fashion with a hint of western elements as well. Though many accessories are not needed to complete this look due to such an “in your face” pattern, I still decided to add my black wide brimmed hat for a little extra personality and fun. While I am excited for cooler temperatures that may require me to throw on a leather jacket, there is something about summer fashion that I will miss as well. I guess this post is an ode to the flowy garments and cut outs that will soon be fading to the back of my closet until next year. Goodbye summer, hello fall.
