Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of soft color palettes and fabrics making their way into fall collections and I’m definitely a fan. While this doesn’t make me like the traditional rich tones of bronze, burgundy, navy, and olive any less, there’s something about incorporating lighter colors that provides an unexpected contrast in the cooler months. Please see below for some of the pieces that have recently caught my eye, and don’t forget to click the images for direct links to the items. Happy shopping!

Once you go black……….well, you know how it goes. LOL. In all seriousness though, I don’t think there is a more classic, staple, and ever forgiving shade than the darkest of them all. Whether you are struggling to style an outfit of the day, or simply want to have an edgy goth moment, one can never go wrong with an all black ensemble. What initially drew me to this jumpsuit was by far the vibrant tomato color. I’ve seen this hue quite frequently this season and while I try not to make a habit of letting trends dictate my wardrobe, I don’t mind playing into them if I find a piece that I genuinely love. This tailored showstopper is so eye-catching that minimal accessories are all that is needed. From the illusion layering to the peek-a-boo cross back, I couldn’t have been happier with this garment. It’s rare that you find a piece with so many elements that still work together uniformly, without overpowering the item. I chose nude as my accessory color, since I didn’t want to style anything that would take  away from the seamless flow of the ensemble. My love for jumpsuits is continuing to grow, almost as rapidly as my collection itself. I mean seriously, what other piece of clothing can bring sophistication, chic-ness, comfort, and ease all in one look? You can’t beat it, nor should you try! Until next time! 🙂

The halter neck is a style that I have recently grown to love and find quite flattering. It is a very elegant cut that is known for accentuating the collar bone, neck, and shoulders while also adding a touch of femininity to any look. I have seen this detail on basically every garment imaginable and I am all for it! I have gathered a few pieces below that have caught my eye. Happy shopping! For my second Tobi look, I couldn’t help but gravitate towards my go-to piece, yes, another jumpsuit. I’m really starting to think I have a problem, but I just can’t help myself! Especially for us shorter girls, jumpsuits give the illusion of a longer frame as well as just being effortlessly chic and timeless pieces. So moving from one obsession to another, I have also been loving the color navy. While it is getting warmer, I still find myself reaching for the darker shade as it adds a subtle flare of color without being too in your face or as harsh as black. Speaking of black, I don’t know who came up with the rule that navy and black could not be worn together; personally, I’m all for it! Now onto the look– Because the jumpsuit was a quite formal, sexier piece, I threw my staple cropped leather jacket on top to tone it down slightly and bring in some more casual vibes. To further the contrast, I added my iridescent heels and my light grey fringe, cross-body bag to the ensemble as well. In my opinion, the combination of all of these pieces with their varying textures and colors made for a nice, balanced look that could be appropriate for numerous occasions. What I like most about Tobi is that their pieces are buildable. While you can easily wear an item on its own, the garments are always on trend yet still simple enough so that they can be styled with items you may already have in your wardrobe. Please check out Tobi, for all of your fashion needs and don’t miss out on the 50% off for all new customers! Until next time!

Another day, another jumpsuit! I’m starting to realize that jumpsuits may be my go-to clothing piece this summer. Aside from the fact that they take little to no effort to style, they also come in different cuts and fits that make them versatile enough for any occasion. The wide-legged one piece that I decided to style for this look, is an extremely relaxed fit. Unlike some that I have worn in the past, it gives off a very “effortless,” casual vibe that makes it quite an easy piece to wear. While continuing to build off of that theme, I decided to work with minimal accessories and pair the focal piece with some subtle mules. The mule sandal, has really been a growing trend over the last few months. While paying homage to past decades, it also serves as an extremely wearable and comfortable heel that can transform daytime outfits without stealing the show. While still being newly into Spring, I find myself constantly reaching for a denim jacket. This piece of outerwear is one that has complimented many looks and still holds an important place in my wardrobe. As the days get longer and the temperatures rise, I look forward to many days of easy breezes and less complicated pieces. Until next time!

While I am a girl who likes statement outerwear, the pieces I tend to gravitate towards are usually pretty neutral in color. This season however, I wanted to challenge myself by stepping outside of my comfort zone and adding some brighter layers to my wardrobe. I absolutely love this coat and even though it is quite a vibrant blush color, I find that it can still be worn with a lot of different items. Since I didn’t want to overdo it with the color palette, I kept the rest of my outfit dark; well black. It’s no secret that I love a good jumpsuit, and the one I styled for this look is definitely the piece that prompted my obsession! Everything from the material, to the cut, and style make this item striking while still remaining chic. To keep the look slightly more sophisticated, I decided to accessorize with  my closed toe black pumps and my new briefcase bag. This was a true “lady boss” type of look and to be honest, I was really into it. There’s nothing like an outfit that makes you feel strong, powerful, and FIERCE! Until next time friends, and please let me know what you think in the comments below!

In my opinion, vertical stripes are probably one of the most flattering patterns you can wear. They work to elongate your features and make for a very clean and seamless look. Also, for the shorter girls out there like myself, culottes make for an awesome option when it comes to trousers; especially when your tailor isn’t near by. For this look, I wanted to go for something that was comfortable, chic, and simple. I bought this culotte jumpsuit last year and its easily become one of my favorite pieces. As we all know, I love pieces that require minimal effort and thought. I’m also obsessed with this garment because although it has such a simple color palette and pattern, it’s quite eye catching and will definitely have you standing out in a crowd. Because the Spring weather hasn’t been consistent as of yet, I decided to break up the darkness of the look and add a long sleeved grey crop top underneath for an added layer of warmth. This look, completed with a leather jacket, lace-up block heels, and my fringe backpack left me feeling all of the 90s vibes and I loved every minute of it! To me, there’s something to be said about an outfit that leaves you feeling confident and ready to take on any situation, and that’s something that I strive for when I’m creating looks. As I enter into the second year of having my blog, I want to remember to continue to follow my heart and do what makes me happy, and I encourage you all to do the same in all aspects of your life, especially fashion! Until next time!

When it comes to transitional fabrics, suede is definitely one of my go-to’s. I love it because it’s a texture that can easily be paired with other fabrics and also brings a bit of edge without being too harsh like leather sometimes can. Suede can be worn through most of the seasons and easily provides an element of chicness to any look. So break out your suede while you still can! It feels like spring is just around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited! To be honest, I was feeling quite uninspired so I took the weekend to shop around and gather some new pieces that could lift my spirits. While it is no secret that I love a good monochrome palette, I felt like it was time to bring in some lighter tones and fabrics. On this bright and sunny day, I was finally motivated enough to bring out some new transitional pieces that put a little “spring” in my step. I’ve been looking for a loose fitting denim or chambray jumpsuit for a few seasons now and I finally found this gem at none other than Forever 21. For us shorter girls, pieces like this can sometimes look a bit unflattering or overwhelming so fit is everything, and a nice heel doesn’t hurt either. I was so happy to finally be able to ditch my coat and get away with lighter layers that I kept the look extremely simple. To add some movement and dimension, I added a longline, cream colored vest and my tortoise heeled booties. The bag that I chose has also quickly become a new favorite. I love that it fits all of my essentials and I can just grab it and head out the door. There’s really not much to this look other than being comfortable, casual, and chic. I am officially in a spring time frame of mind. BRING. IT. ON!
