I’ve come to accept the fact that there are certain textiles that I will always gravitate towards regardless of what season we are in. Currently, my love for knits are at an all time high and I refuse to be ashamed of it! For months I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect co-ord that was of quality and did not break the bank; and though it took awhile, I finally found the perfect option. Obviously we are in the midst of Summer, but I still wanted to have a matching set that incorporated pants because for starters it’s something I currently do not own, and I personally believe they are easier to dress-up and elevate than other more casual versions. Purchasing the off-white color way was also a no-brainer because it captured the chic and clean vibe I was looking for. Styling garments like these are always exciting because since you’re essentially working with a blank canvas, the options to accessorize are endless! That being said, because my foundation was already quite stark, I didn’t want to add anything that would throw off the synergy of the look overall. Recently I had also purchased a new pair of tortoise sunnies and absolutely loved the pop of interest they brought when incorporated with this outfit. To further highlight the warm cognac tones, I grabbed a quilted crossbody bag. Lastly, to match the hardware on my purse, I threw on a few gold jewelry pieces and a neutral pair of strappy heeled sandals to complete the look! I truly enjoy an effortless, show-stopping ensemble that makes a statement without needing an abundance of frills and add-ons. Especially with the intense heat we’ve been experiencing lately, I’m choosing to keep my personal style as simple as possible at the moment. Despite the temperatures steadily rising, there has been no shortage of knit garments rolling out from various designers and retailers. I’ve often given thought as to why this could be considering we usually associate this textile with the colder months. That being said, I personally am a fan of the subtle texture and structure that knitwear provides; especially during a time where most people are wearing more common lightweight fabrics such as chiffon, linen, and chambray. When I initially saw this salmon colored co-ord, I was intrigued by the hue but highly skeptical of the fit. Needless to say, I proceeded to place my order and simply hoped for the best. To my surprise the thin and rather clingy fabric was of good quality, and the pieces were extremely comfortable (not overly constricting in any way). This bright shade of coral made the ensemble perfect for the current season and while I was fairly confident wearing it as is, I decided to layer an oversized blazer on top for added elevation and chicness. For shoes, I almost went with something neutral but at the last minute decided to color-block with lime green mules, which created more of a “watermelon-like” palette. To balance the brighter tones and tie in my muted outerwear piece, I added an iridescent pair of sunnies and chandelier earrings featuring pearl accents. Overall, this outfit is more on the preppy side of what I’m used to and definitely had me considering taking up golfing (LOL!). Jokes aside, I’m excited to wear this look out and about and potentially add similar polo-style sets to my wardrobe collection. Sage, the herb, is typically associated with calmness, peace, and positivity. Over the last few years however, it has also become one of the standout colors during the Spring and Summer months. What intrigues me most about this shade is its ability to live in the space of bright pastels as well as neutrals. It’s been quite some time since I’ve styled a jumpsuit and when I came across this one, I knew it was the piece I had been looking for! The light, khaki texture allowed for a structured yet breathable fit which would be perfect when worn during the upcoming seasons. Additionally, the pale tortoise buttons provided a natural element that reminded me of the Earth’s organic textures, and definitely influenced my choice of accessories. Though color-blocking is a huge trend at the moment, I really wanted to let this garment shine on its own so, tan accents were my immediate go-to. Last year I bought this gorgeous wooden crossbody bag for vacation and realized I had never done an official photo shoot with it! I finally seized my opportunity and chose to pair it with a simple pair of mules to complete the ensemble. For jewelry, I chose a statement gold chain necklace and studs for a classic yet elegant touch. Lastly, I was thrilled to incorporate my new favorite sunglasses in an oversized aviator style. The transparent brown lens make these the most versatile sunnies whether indoor or outdoor, and I plan to take full advantage now that I have them in my collection. I feel like as a style blogger, there are outfits that I shoot solely for content purposes and those that I intend to repeat and wear IRL. Without a doubt, this look definitely falls into the latter and I can’t wait for a brunch or event to recreate this casual chic moment! Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

As we continue moving into the warmer months, dressing can become increasingly difficult as we must constantly be aware that any slight shift in temperature can result in being too hot or too cold. Though every person is different and has a specific tolerance when it comes to weather, knowing this crucial detail can help you stay comfortable throughout the day. Personally, I know that as long as my upper body is covered I will remain warm for the most part. Keeping this top of mind is also what kept me focused when deciding how to style this fuchsia mini skirt. I’ve had this piece for a few weeks now and was tempted to just wait until Summer and pair it with some heeled sandals (which I’ll still do, btw). Fortunately, my impatience got the best of me and I was determined to create a look that was more “Spring-appropriate.” Because satin is a fairly thin fabric, I knew I wanted to style it with more substantial pieces that could provide a balance as well as create a solid foundation for the overall ensemble. That aside, I had also recently purchased 2 sweater vests that had been sitting in my closet waiting to be worn. I initially felt this trend was a bit out of my comfort zone, yet every time I saw these garments styled on someone else I absolutely loved the look and knew I had to give it a try. Finally, the opportunity presented itself and the outfit slowly came together. I really loved the juxtaposition of the dainty skirt against the chunky cable knit but I knew I could take it a step further! I’ve been obsessed with button up shirts lately and jumped at the chance to incorporate this gorgeous version featuring openwork detailing and elegant puffed sleeves. As I made my way to accessories, I knew that I wanted to keep things fairly simple since I already had quite a few textures in the mix. That said, I still wanted to bring in some additional contrast so, as always, it made sense to throw in a few black pieces. (Sidebar: If you’ve been following my style journey for a while, you’ll know that I rarely style an outfit that does not include some element/piece that is black). Starting with my favorite chelsea boots, I made sure to incorporate this dark shade at each level of the look with a matching shoulder bag and some rectangular frames. Though it took me a while wo warm up to this outfit, I’m quite a fan of how it turned out and would love to know your favorite featured piece so comment below! Until next time!

Denim is definitely a textile that truly shines during the Spring months. Over the past few years, denim dresses in particular have really been making a strong comeback and I’ve personally added a few pieces to my own wardrobe that fall right in line with this trend! Below I’ve rounded up a few variations, so don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks. Comment below if you’re a fan of this frock style or if it’s something you’d pass on. Until next time!

Personally, I take pride in adding pieces to my wardrobe that are unique and “on trend,” without being so popular that they are seen on every person or fashion enthusiast walking down the streets of Soho. I’d say that while I do pretty well for myself, I am nowhere near a tax bracket that could afford the most exclusive garments. That being said, I try to be strategic with my shopping and pick up items that are eye-catching when styled, but may not stand out to any and everyone on the hanger. I had gone back and forth about this jacquard jacket for weeks before deciding to officially make it my own. To be honest, there was nothing I didn’t like about it and my hesitation almost made me completely miss out on this absolute stunner! The overall cut, fabric, and floral motif gave it the most elegant yet vintage aesthetic that I knew would bring so much life to any ensemble it was paired with. Because I was working with such a bold article of outerwear, it was imperative that I kept the rest of the outfit toned down; and what’s more simple than a classic white t-shirt and jeans?! In my opinion, these pieces made for the best foundation since I didn’t want to risk clashing in any way. With the clothing portion finalized, I knew I still had some room to play around with accessories! The same day I went to pick up my cropped blazer, I also purchased this stunning croc textured bag which seamlessly coordinated with the darker undertones. For another subtle pop of color, I added my pale yellow mules which highlighted the more vibrant hues. Lastly, I finished off the look with a chunky gold necklace and matching oversized sunglasses. This casual outfit brings me so much joy because it truly embodies the Spring season effortlessly! Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

Every now and then, I too get tired of my heels and will opt for a pair of sneakers (shocking, I know). While I don’t have many to choose from, the two staples that I strongly feel are a must in all wardrobes are an all white option as well as a more vibrant or colorful style. Especially as we move into the warmer months and are out and about more, having comfortable footwear is an absolute must! Aside from that, the juxtaposition of having an extremely feminine dress or blouse paired with casual trainers, is something I’ve always been a fan of when it comes to styling. Spring is definitely a season where I feel like denim truly gets its time to shine! Recently I’ve refreshed my own collection with a few new pieces including this acid wash dress featuring voluminous sleeves. Though I could have easily paired this frock with any style of heeled sandal, I was not satisfied with that idea. As a last minute decision the morning of this particular shoot, the light bulb finally went off and I knew that my multi-colored kicks were the missing piece to the ensemble. They instantly brought an element of playfulness and interest that no other shoe in my closet could’ve done. For accessories, I had been waiting for the perfect moment to style this cream colored baguette bag. On top of being obsessed with the 90’s reference, I couldn’t resist the chunky gold chain that made the bag an instant showstopper! For jewelry I chose to stay consistent by matching my metals accordingly, and as a final touch added some aviator frames. I felt so comfortable in this look and am interested to see if this is the year I finally transition into becoming a full on sneakerhead (KIDDING, LOL)! I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t had the opportunity to showcase my outfits over the past year due to the pandemic, but recently, I feel like I’ve been buying into the trends more than ever before! That being said, I do genuinely like what is being produced from various retailers at the moment and am so excited for the outfits I have planned in 2021. It seems like for the Spring and Summer months, the decades we tend to see the most style references come out of are the 90’s and 70’s; most likely due to the florals, light fabrics, denim, and flirty silhouettes. At this point, if I had to pick one garment that I’ve seen consistently growing in popularity from the runway to the high street for the upcoming seasons, it would have to be wrap tops. Whether as a blazer, knit, button-up, bralette, or t-shirt, the options seem to be endless and also highly flattering! The simple addition of leaving extra material to hug the body at the smallest part of the waist, is a subtle accent that elevates and instantly adds interest to any ensemble. For me, this particular top checked all of the boxes; it was the color of the season, linen, and the fit was incredible! At the beginning of the year, I was on a mission to find a pair of two-toned denim jeans, and though I was successful, I couldn’t resist adding this maxi skirt to my collection as well! I can honestly say that while both items are showstoppers, to my surprise, they did not clash in any way. I usually tend to focus on one standout piece to build around with each look I create, however this time I decided to take more of a “maximalist” approach. While I could’ve added a simple nude sandal, I chose a striking lace-up option which mimicked the detail of my top, and featured a bold blue heel. Lastly, I decided to complete the outfit with a few gold rings and a unique pair of earrings with multi-colored stones that seamlessly tied all of the elements together. Despite shooting in NYC, this outfit gave me all of the tropical vacation feels, which hopefully is a foreshadowing of what’s to come this year! Every now and then we come across pieces that make us stop in our tracks and without hesitation, instantly find a place in our wardrobe. Like most of the fashion enthusiasts, I’ve been gravitating towards color in a way that is unlike ever before. Not only is this a reoccurring trend for Spring, but I also feel like this influx of bright hues represents somewhat of a celebration for getting through one of the toughest years the world has seen in quite some time. I’ve always been drawn to bold, unique trousers so when I stumbled across this turquoise croc-textured pair my mind was instantly blown! I actually styled a similar version in burgundy a couple months ago and was beyond excited to see the same brand come out with a more Spring appropriate color way. It was a no-brainer that these pants would be the star of any ensemble so it was just a matter of building around them. I knew that black would most likely be the contrasting shade, to coordinate with the button fastening. Aside from color, the cut-out trend has also been huge as we progress into warmer months. Recently I had been graciously gifted a few garments from a new independent brand and I couldn’t have been more impressed with the quality! This knit provided the perfect balance of texture and femininity, while still maintaining some of that eye-catching edge! Though the look was nearly complete, I still wanted to carefully choose my accessories. My favorite strappy mules seemed like the most obvious option for footwear but in efforts to break up the darker elements, I chose to go the metallic route! When I saw this bag in store years ago I was so hesitant to buy it because I wasn’t sure if I’d get my cost per wear. To my surprise, this has become one of my most show-stopping pieces and always brings a level of interest to any outfit I style it with. Lastly, I completed the look with my rimless clear frames which have also gotten tons of wear and are still getting compliments to this day. Every now and then I come across pieces that truly bring me back to my formative years and this ensemble was the perfect example of that! The majority of my pre-undergrad educational career was spent in private school, so I was no stranger to wearing uniforms majority of the time. Once I got to college and really had the freedom to experiment with my personal style, I realized that while there were some garments that were drastically different than what I was previous used to, that “prim and proper” way of dressing never really left me. Cardigans have been making a comeback lately as a nod to the 90’s, and I was immediately drawn to this creamy beige version featuring a variety of novelty buttons. Initially, I had planned to wear it casually with jeans and a simple pair of mules but it didn’t take long before I received a piece that completely changed my course of action! There are a few brands I work with that generously provide me with “new-in” items whenever a collection drops or we enter into a new season. Most recently, I received this pleated leather skirt and knew I had to style it ASAP! What peaked my interest the most was the unique color. I’ve personally owned a few skirts in this style throughout the years mostly in black, denim, or light chiffon fabrics. It also looked much lighter on the website so I was pleasantly surprised to see that it came in the perfect neutral shade to match my sweater! At that point I knew I had to pair these items as a set, but something was still missing. After a few moments of thinking it over, I decided to try layering a white poplin shirt underneath to add a bit more dimension, and my “cool-girl” uniform was nearly complete! In efforts to add a bit more edge and balance out the preppy vibes, I added my AF1s and some silver jewelry to play off of the flashy buttons. Lastly, for a stark contrast, I threw on my newest black frames and was ready to skip class and head to the mall (KIDDING). In all honesty though, creating this outfit really brought back memories and gave me a sense of nostalgia that I will never forget! Comment below your favorite featured piece and until next time!
