This Spring/Summer, I have decided to commit to the color blush. To be honest, I kind of surprised myself when I came to this realization because I am a very anti-pink type of girl. However, there’s something about this soft nude-ish hue that I really can’t get enough of, and I’m proud to say it! Below are some of the pieces that have stood out to me lately. Happy shopping! I styled this outfit specifically with Easter and springtime in mind. I purchased these white, cropped trousers a few months ago and knew they would be the perfect piece to add to my wardrobe. Lately, I’ve been gravitating towards more classy, tailored, and chic items that really make their statement through quality of fabric and fit. Recently however, I’ve been visiting Zara more often than I’d like to admit which is why the majority of this look comes from there. My waistcoat collection has really been growing so when I saw this beautifully constructed garment, I knew I had to have it; and suddenly, the idea of a co-ord suit popped in my head! It’s funny, but this outfit is pretty much made up of all of the things I am currently obsessed with; the last being blush tones. To tie the look together I knew I wanted to add some color but also keep the palette soft, and elegant. This pinkish nude crop top couldn’t have been a more fitting piece to add to the look without breaking up the fluidity of the ensemble. While all of these pieces stand out to me as showstoppers for different reasons, these heeled sandals definitely sealed the deal for me. It was basically love at first sight to say the least. Right away I knew I had to have them and I am positive that they will be in prime rotation with my shoe selections this summer. I threw on my Fendi frames to add some posh-ness to this already fab look, grabbed a tiny box bag and was paparazzi ready! I don’t know what it is about all white looks, or monochrome looks in general, that just leave you feeling so put together and fashionable. I’m not sure if this outfit is going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s definitely being added to MY list of favorite looks! Let me know what you think below and I hope you had a wonderful Easter with your loved ones. Until next time!

Stripes are one of my favorite classic patterns. They never seem to go out of style and always add a chic effortless vibe to any look. Below are some of the striped pieces that I would definitely add to my wardrobe. (Don’t forget to click the images below to shop my picks!)
In my opinion, vertical stripes are probably one of the most flattering patterns you can wear. They work to elongate your features and make for a very clean and seamless look. Also, for the shorter girls out there like myself, culottes make for an awesome option when it comes to trousers; especially when your tailor isn’t near by. For this look, I wanted to go for something that was comfortable, chic, and simple. I bought this culotte jumpsuit last year and its easily become one of my favorite pieces. As we all know, I love pieces that require minimal effort and thought. I’m also obsessed with this garment because although it has such a simple color palette and pattern, it’s quite eye catching and will definitely have you standing out in a crowd. Because the Spring weather hasn’t been consistent as of yet, I decided to break up the darkness of the look and add a long sleeved grey crop top underneath for an added layer of warmth. This look, completed with a leather jacket, lace-up block heels, and my fringe backpack left me feeling all of the 90s vibes and I loved every minute of it! To me, there’s something to be said about an outfit that leaves you feeling confident and ready to take on any situation, and that’s something that I strive for when I’m creating looks. As I enter into the second year of having my blog, I want to remember to continue to follow my heart and do what makes me happy, and I encourage you all to do the same in all aspects of your life, especially fashion! Until next time!

Outerwear is the last piece we put on when completing an outfit and also the last opportunity we have at turning an outfit from drab to FAB! Luckily, in those dire situations we can breathe a sigh of relief because bomber jackets have taken the lead in being the statement pieces we often lust for. Below are a few of the jackets that have really caught my eye lately and can absolutely serve as the bold piece needed to elevate your look. Happy shopping! (Don’t forget to click the images below to shop my picks!)
I’ve noticed a lot more statement pieces this year for spring, than in the past. This season, it seems like the leading “F” in fashion stands for FUN, and a lot of designers and retailers are putting quite a bit more personality and life into their clothing. One of the main items I’ve seen making bold statements has been outerwear; specifically, bomber jackets. The bomber jacket trend became quite popular a few seasons ago in the traditional olive green, but this year it’s back and better than ever! Jackets with intricate details, floral prints, and shiny satin material have been showing up in most major retail stores and adding a “pop” to outfits everywhere. Being a lover of contrast, I just couldn’t pass up this jacket. I’m obsessed with how the soft feminine print plays off of the sporty vibe of the garment. With such a bold piece, I kept the rest of the look pretty simple with a slightly distressed, frayed edge skinny jean and black strappy heels. To keep the outfit playful and light, I added my new taupe fringe bag and was on my way! Statement jackets are a very easy way to add some interest to an otherwise simple or rather dull look without putting forth too much effort. In my opinion you can never go wrong, but what do you think?? Are you loving this trend, or do you think it’s just a fad that will be gone tomorrow (or next summer)? Comment your thoughts below, until next time!

There’s something about a denim jacket that is so classic, timeless, casual, edgy, cool, and so much more! It is absolutely one of those pieces that should be a staple in everyone’s closet no matter your style or age. Below are some unique denim jackets that have really caught my eye lately. Happy shopping! (Don’t forget to click the images below to shop my picks!)
I’m not sure what it is exactly, but there’s something about denim jackets that just SCREAM “springtime” to me. No matter what wash they are in, this timeless piece is one that has graced many decades and will never go out style. I have about four or five denim jackets in my personal collection but this one is by far the most unique. I love that its traditional sleeves have been cut off and replaced with sweater substitutes, as well as the ever so eye-catching Metallica death metal patch that covers the back. Because this jacket alone has SO much going on, I layered it over a simple sleeveless mock neck sweater dress. I kept the accessories equally as subdued with a black wide brim hat, cut out boots, and my favorite leather tote. I love this look because of the casual yet, edgy vibe it gives off and it really left me feeling “too cool for school!” So tell me, whats your favorite spring piece and how to do you rock it?! Until next time!

When it comes to transitional fabrics, suede is definitely one of my go-to’s. I love it because it’s a texture that can easily be paired with other fabrics and also brings a bit of edge without being too harsh like leather sometimes can. Suede can be worn through most of the seasons and easily provides an element of chicness to any look. So break out your suede while you still can! In honor of the gradually rising temperatures, I decided to give my legs a little fresh air with this look. Forever 21 has really been surprising me lately with their pieces, especially those from the “contemporary” line (which is basically where this entire look is from). Since I chose to show a bit of skin on the bottom, I decided to keep the top covered to maintain a natural balance. For those who are just beginning to style and put looks together, this is a great tip to remember! While I wanted to bring a bit of color into this look, I still wanted to remain fairly neutral so I went for this olive green suede dress which I absolutely love! Being in between seasons, periods of the day can still get quite cool so don’t be afraid to continue to reach for heavier fabrics like suede and leather until the weather consistently heats up. As an extra layer, I paired the dress with a an elegant blouse that incorporated a neck tie detail and button sleeves. This Victorian style of blouse has become quite popular over the last few seasons and definitely brings a bit of chicness to any look. To keep the look fun and playful I threw on my fringe heeled sandals which look amazing when strutting down any street. I like this look because though it is fairly simple, the details in the different pieces seem to speak for themselves and come together quite nicely. Now if spring could just hurry up and get here all would be well! Has anyone heard from the groundhog???? Until next time! 🙂
