When it comes to creating outfits, especially as we move into the colder months, I find myself leaning into different textures more frequently. Considering outerwear and footwear are the pieces that get displayed most during this time of year, I try to have fun and select items that have more unique qualities. I’ve never been much of a “trench coat girl” as the season to wear them always seems too short, however this year I couldn’t pass on this stunning olive number. The hue and sheen are truly what captured my attention and it didn’t take much convincing to make my purchase. I absolutely love the oversized, yet relaxed, fit as well as the unusual shade of green which makes this particular garment both eye-catching as well as neutral. At this point, I’d probably say this is one of the most show-stopping jackets I own! In an effort to not have too many competing styles, I decided to pair down the rest of the ensemble with a cut-out black bodysuit and distressed boyfriend jeans. I liked the way the details of both pieces somewhat mirrored each other while adding subtle interest to the outfit overall. To complete my vision I threw on my newest pair of puffy heeled sandals, (an early holiday present to myself) as well as an amber pair of rectangular frames to really enhance the color palette I was working with. Lastly, gold jewelry was the obvious choice and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome! I loved how each garment though fairly simple, each had their own distinct element that contributed to the chicness of the look. Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

I’d say more often than not, my styling strategy is to create looks around one focal piece that tends to be the most eye-catching. That being said, I don’t always shy away from taking fashion risks and like to push the envelope every now and then. This season I’ve been incorporating more highly saturated shades into my Fall/Winter wardrobe, and am extremely pleased with the new additions thus far. There are quite a few garments that I tend to gravitate towards during this time of year, and trousers (specifically leather) are always at the top of the list. I had actually been on the hunt for this particular style in brown, but unfortunately they remained sold out just long enough for me to settle on another pair from a different brand. Though I was satisfied with the pants I ultimately purchased, I couldn’t help but continue to look at the original version and when I saw they came in another color, I decided to give them a try! Red has always been a color that I noted as one of my favorites, but at the same time recognized it as one that I hardly ever wore. For some reason I guess it always seemed a bit too “loud” or intimidating, which in my mind made it impossible to style; that is, until now. Upon receiving them in all of their tomato-colored glory, I was excited to get them on and absolutely floored by how well they fit. So far, I was off to a great start and it didn’t take long before I came up with a game plan. I had been eyeing a gorgeous leopard print bodysuit online and just knew both items would compliment each other perfectly! As my ensemble came together, it was only right that I kept the playfulness going with my accessories as well. After much thought and deciding that a plain black bag just wouldn’t suffice, I swiftly reached for a statement making crossbody bag featuring gold hardware and graphics that matched my bold color scheme. I completed the outfit with black croc embossed boots, some of my favorite jewelry pieces, and a chic pair of cat eye frames. While this look is more on the “maximalist” side, I still consider it to be pretty wearable especially as we move into the holiday season. Comment below if this is something you would personally rock, or if it’s too far out of your comfort zone. Until next time!

Plaid, leopard, and hounds tooth are all prints that come to mind when I think about the Fall and Winter seasons. That being said, there is a new trend that has been gaining popularity and I’ve decided to dive in head first! As a lover of abstract designs, my gravitation towards this marble set did not come as a shock. It has a subtle, yet eye-catching appeal that truly engages the viewer and makes anyone wearing it literally transform into a piece of walking art. Immediately after stumbling upon these garments I was instantly blown away by the detail and knew they needed a place in my wardrobe. Though extremely bold for some, I was certain that the neutral tones used to create this print would make these pieces extremely versatile whether worn as a unit or separately. For my first styling attempt, I chose to pair the top and skirt together creating the illusion of a form fitting frock. At this point it was evident that not much else needed to be done since the foundation of the ensemble was such a statement, however I still had a few key accessories I needed to include. Another trend that has continued to thrive over the last few years is chunky boots. In 2020 I began slowly experimenting with them, but recently I decided to fully commit by adding an off white knee-high pair to my collection. While I could have easily gone for a black or dark brown style, I really wanted to keep the look light and fluid to mimic the overall vibe of the clothing. Sticking with this theme, and to finish off the look, I added a grey crock-embossed bag, tan frames, and a few jewelry pieces that really helped to add those final feminine touches. I don’t think I could have been more pleased with how this outfit turned out, and I can’t wait to recreate it during this holiday party season! If I could only choose one brand to shop from for an extended period of time, that truly embodied my personal style, & Other Stories would most likely be it. At this point, I’d say most of my staple and foundational pieces that make up my wardrobe are from there and for good reason! Aside from the on-trend designs, the quality is also unmatched and I love how they introduce various styling techniques from around the globe. Whether producing a collection geared towards Stockholm tailoring or chic and minimal prints that provide a Parisian aesthetic, every time I walk into the store or shop online, I’m met with a fresh new perspective. Another thing I love about this particular retailer, is that it allows me to experiment with styles that may be slightly out of my comfort zone, but I’ve been eager to try. For instance, this longline quilted puffer jacket and chunky lace up boots have been on my list for quite some time but I was hesitant about whether I could pull either of these looks off. To my pleasant surprise when I received the items, I was thrilled with the fit and construction! Additionally, because I was working with a darker color palette, I knew the versatility of these garments would be endless! To further tie these pieces together and complete the ensemble, I opted for a knitted taupe-colored vest top and a tailored pair of leather shorts. For accessories, I reached for a cross-body bag which featured the same olive and black color story as well as gold hardware which matched my jewelry perfectly. Lastly, my black sunnies were the icing on the cake and I was ready for a day of fun Fall activities! If you’re on the hunt for new closet gems that will grow with you and remain current throughout each season, year after year, I highly recommend giving & Other Stories a try! There’s something about the tones and color palettes during this time of year that truly warm my spirit. Whether you’re a lover of light neutrals, warm shades of brown, or just prefer to stick to a classic black ensemble, all of these combinations represent my favorite cozy season! For this look, I wanted to try to create the ultimate autumnal outfit which consisted of elements from each of the categories previously listed. Like everyone else, I have been obsessed with shades of chocolate and caramel since before Fall even began. In addition to that, I feel like I’ve been collecting every knitwear piece on the market which has been both exciting yet concerning for my wallet, LOL! While I typically end up unintentionally purchasing a few of my ensemble pieces together, every item in this look was added to my wardrobe on a completely separate occasion. Surprisingly, this time around, I had all of my accessories first. The sunglasses and heels had been in my closet for quite some time, but the bag was a newer find. From the moment I saw it online with it’s rich color and quilted texture, I knew it would be the perfect seasonal staple. I had also been eyeing up a pair of brown leather trousers that were unfortunately sold out in my size. Though it took me some convincing, I decided to settle on the black pair and I could not have made a better decision! Aside from being buttery soft, the seam details and fit are an absolute dream! The cut-out knit top was one of the last garments to complete this ensemble and though it definitely worked, I still felt like something was missing to tie everything together. At the last minute I remembered that I had been gifted a cream denim “shacket” and it was the very piece I was looking for. The tortoise buttons accentuated the bag and the overall color provided balance since the bottom half of the outfit was so dark. In my opinion, I would definitely say I succeeded in curating the perfect chic Autumn look! Comment below if you would wear this outfit and for what occasion. Until next time!

The increased popularity of slip dresses over the last few years is something that I don’t see slowing down any time soon. What I personally love most about them, is the countless styling opportunities that truly make it a year-round staple. In my opinion, Summer is probably the easiest season to style them because there is really no need for layering. However that being said, because these frocks are such simple and dainty pieces, it can take a little more thought to cultivate an ensemble that still has some type of dimension and interest. My slip dress collection has continued to grow with each season, and it should be no surprise that the black version is definitely my most worn. In efforts to add a bit more variety and fill a void in my wardrobe, I jumped at the opportunity to be gifted a cream-colored style which had recently caught my eye. Upon receiving, I was thrilled with the quality and determined to play off of the feminine details, while adding pieces that would provide an unexpected juxtaposition. I had also recently purchased my first pair of colorful sneakers, (every other pair I own are either black and/or white) and was anxious to style them ASAP! Because I was essentially working with a blank canvas, this was the perfect opportunity to add a street-style flare to such a delicate garment. Additionally, for a bit more structure, I thought it would be cool to throw on an over-sized blazer which helped balance the look overall. For accessories, minimal silver jewelry and my geometric frames helped tie everything together and complete my vision. This honestly may be one of my favorite Summer looks to date due to all of the elements and style genres that were combined to create this outfit. One of my favorite things about fashion is the constant reinvention and recycling of trends from the past. With every year, there seems to be a decade piece that really dominates and though we are still quarantined, 2020 has been no exception. With regards to clothing, I would definitely say that this has been the year of the cardigan. Whether you’re drawing styling inspiration from the 60’s or the 90’s, this garment has proven to be a timeless staple that anyone can rock! I was surprised at how influenced I was to reintroduce this piece to my wardrobe, but after coming across this beautiful lilac cable knit with embellished buttons, I couldn’t resist! Because it was so feminine and unlike any item I currently own, I was on a mission to make it fit my personal aesthetic. I decided to wear the cardigan as a top instead of a layering piece, and only buttoned the first fastening to keep it more Summer appropriate. In efforts to add a bit more edge, I threw on a pair of distressed straight-legged jeans and strappy black mules. Accessories were also imperative in finalizing this look, so I continued to play off of the pastel color palette by adding a pale blue bucket bag. Lastly, I added my clear 2000’s inspired sunglasses and my ensemble was complete! Comment below your favorite part of this outfit and whether you’d be interested in giving the cardigan trend a try. Until next time!

This honestly may have been one of the most fun shoots to date. After a gloomy, rainy day, we decided it would be fun to go to a local court and shoot, while shooting…(get it..basketball?). Anyway, we took advantage of the empty space and changed up the dynamic by adding some intense action to our usual photo shoots. The concept actually came together quite nicely since I decided to wear sneakers, (something I’ve been surprisingly doing quite often) and had a very casual vibe going. Looks like these are pretty much my weekend uniform. They allow for you to still be on trend, with the textures and accessories, while also remaining comfortable if you decide to run errands or simply grab coffee with friends. I’ve mentioned before that I love nothing more than a chunky knit sweater during the fall and winter months. They bring such a cozy vibe to any look and provide a great foundation to build upon. Though I wouldn’t classify myself as a “sneaker girl,” I like to have staple kicks in my wardrobe that go with everything, and these Hurraches have become my new favorites. Obviously, you can’t go wrong with black, but they are also extremely lightweight and stylish. So if you like to be weekend casual like me, comment below and tell me your must-have pieces. Until next time!

This was probably the first shoot I’ve done in which the vision was almost completely dictated by the location. As soon as we decided on the playground, the ensemble took on a whole new life of it’s own. It brought me back to the many years I spent in private school with those stark white collared shirts, and plaid skirts (of course they were much longer back then) and how we would always try our best to make our uniforms as flattering and unique as possible. Needless to say, we weren’t that successful but those years definitely helped shape who I am today and had its fun moments. For this look I wanted to focus on the subtle details of the pieces, such as the double hem of the top and the intricate stitching on the leather mini. To add a little fun and movement to the look, I threw on a pair of fringe heeled sandals and enjoyed the moment. As I’m sure the kids and their parents looked at me like I was crazy, I had a blast reliving a moment of my childhood, in a much more fashionable way of course! 😉
