When it comes to creating outfits, especially as we move into the colder months, I find myself leaning into different textures more frequently. Considering outerwear and footwear are the pieces that get displayed most during this time of year, I try to have fun and select items that have more unique qualities. I’ve never been much of a “trench coat girl” as the season to wear them always seems too short, however this year I couldn’t pass on this stunning olive number. The hue and sheen are truly what captured my attention and it didn’t take much convincing to make my purchase. I absolutely love the oversized, yet relaxed, fit as well as the unusual shade of green which makes this particular garment both eye-catching as well as neutral. At this point, I’d probably say this is one of the most show-stopping jackets I own! In an effort to not have too many competing styles, I decided to pair down the rest of the ensemble with a cut-out black bodysuit and distressed boyfriend jeans. I liked the way the details of both pieces somewhat mirrored each other while adding subtle interest to the outfit overall. To complete my vision I threw on my newest pair of puffy heeled sandals, (an early holiday present to myself) as well as an amber pair of rectangular frames to really enhance the color palette I was working with. Lastly, gold jewelry was the obvious choice and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome! I loved how each garment though fairly simple, each had their own distinct element that contributed to the chicness of the look. Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

In the same way that distressing made it nearly impossible to find a pair of denim without holes or a ripped hem, I think we’re experiencing a similar trend with cut-outs! Personally, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to stop my collection from growing as this minor detail provides such a chic yet edgy take on any basic garment. I’ve rounded up tons of options below, so don’t forget to click on the images within each carousel to shop some of my favorites. Until next time!

On today’s episode of “things from my childhood that have influenced my current style,” I chose to once again reference my private school days. I’m not entirely sure what’s happening to me, but the “preppy vibes” have really been making an impact on my wardrobe lately. For this look, though hesitant about the outcome, I knew I wanted to push myself to style a pair of loafers I had recently been gifted. After seeing how effortlessly clean they looked when worn I was eager to give them a try, but upon receiving them, I still wasn’t sure if they were really “ME.” Initially, I figured I might pair them with jeans but after trying it out, I quickly realized that was not the look I was going for. After a few weeks of deliberation, I accumulated more pieces that helped bring my vision to life! Not too long ago I had seen this gorgeous knit appear on one of my favorite websites, and at the time, I didn’t see a need for it as we were moving into the warmer months. That being said, I couldn’t stop thinking about it and eventually had it sent to my doorstep. At this point, the chances of me styling it was either now or in several months so I jumped at the opportunity! In efforts to provide some balance and contrast, I incorporated denim non-distressed shorts in a darker wash. This choice really highlighted the perforated design on the sweater, and added a classic element that was more in line with my footwear option. I personally felt like all 3 of these items coordinated very well and still allowed room for touches of interest that I prefer all of my ensembles to have. To keep things a little edgy, I added my favorite Marc Jacobs crossbody featuring a thick guitar strap with neon monogram. This bag also contained gold hardware which perfectly accentuated the shoe detail, and led to my inclusion of small hoop earrings as well as bold cat-eye aviator sunglasses. I was very pleased with my take on “loafer styling,” and while I could never see myself sporting them with a dress or pant, they will definitely get tons of wear this season and next! With the current focus of most industries being sustainability and ethically sourced products, I was happy to hear that a brand I personally work with, Adidas, would be doing their part to prioritize this positive movement. Specifically, they have created the Prime Blue Parley line dedicated to the fight against ocean plastic, and have even orchestrated a run for this cause which you can sign up for on May 18th, through the Runtastic App! The event will take place 5/28-6/8 and for every kilometer run, walked, jogged, or rolled, Adidas and Parley’s global cleanup network will remove the equivalent weight of 10 plastic bottles (up to 500,000 pounds) from beaches, islands, and coastal communities to help make our world a cleaner place! I was personally amazed at the idea that these synthetic materials that make up a majority of what most of us probably have in our homes, were being used to not only produce clothing but to simultaneously reduce waste. It truly is unfortunate how much our planet has suffered due to a lack of recycling and litter, so I was happy to be aligned with this campaign in efforts to spread awareness and make better choices in my personal daily life. Upon receiving the pieces, I never would’ve guessed that they were made of anything other than the usual clothing textiles. The t-shirts and shorts were so soft while remaining breathable, which is key for the Spring and Summer seasons. I also loved the chic drawstring details which allowed for the option to turn these simple tees into edgy crop-tops. The sneakers were also incredibly light, yet still comfortable and structured enough for any high-intensity workouts or outdoor activities that may take place this year. I was beyond pleased with these items and even more proud to wear them because I knew that they were a part of a bigger picture that is making a difference. Sage, the herb, is typically associated with calmness, peace, and positivity. Over the last few years however, it has also become one of the standout colors during the Spring and Summer months. What intrigues me most about this shade is its ability to live in the space of bright pastels as well as neutrals. It’s been quite some time since I’ve styled a jumpsuit and when I came across this one, I knew it was the piece I had been looking for! The light, khaki texture allowed for a structured yet breathable fit which would be perfect when worn during the upcoming seasons. Additionally, the pale tortoise buttons provided a natural element that reminded me of the Earth’s organic textures, and definitely influenced my choice of accessories. Though color-blocking is a huge trend at the moment, I really wanted to let this garment shine on its own so, tan accents were my immediate go-to. Last year I bought this gorgeous wooden crossbody bag for vacation and realized I had never done an official photo shoot with it! I finally seized my opportunity and chose to pair it with a simple pair of mules to complete the ensemble. For jewelry, I chose a statement gold chain necklace and studs for a classic yet elegant touch. Lastly, I was thrilled to incorporate my new favorite sunglasses in an oversized aviator style. The transparent brown lens make these the most versatile sunnies whether indoor or outdoor, and I plan to take full advantage now that I have them in my collection. I feel like as a style blogger, there are outfits that I shoot solely for content purposes and those that I intend to repeat and wear IRL. Without a doubt, this look definitely falls into the latter and I can’t wait for a brunch or event to recreate this casual chic moment! Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

Jacquard is a fabric that, while I do not have much of it in my wardrobe, always intrigues me due to it’s intricate design and structure. In the midst of incorporating more feminine and whimsical pieces into my own closet, I’m sure I’ll be accumulating more garments that are made of this standout textile. Personally, I take pride in adding pieces to my wardrobe that are unique and “on trend,” without being so popular that they are seen on every person or fashion enthusiast walking down the streets of Soho. I’d say that while I do pretty well for myself, I am nowhere near a tax bracket that could afford the most exclusive garments. That being said, I try to be strategic with my shopping and pick up items that are eye-catching when styled, but may not stand out to any and everyone on the hanger. I had gone back and forth about this jacquard jacket for weeks before deciding to officially make it my own. To be honest, there was nothing I didn’t like about it and my hesitation almost made me completely miss out on this absolute stunner! The overall cut, fabric, and floral motif gave it the most elegant yet vintage aesthetic that I knew would bring so much life to any ensemble it was paired with. Because I was working with such a bold article of outerwear, it was imperative that I kept the rest of the outfit toned down; and what’s more simple than a classic white t-shirt and jeans?! In my opinion, these pieces made for the best foundation since I didn’t want to risk clashing in any way. With the clothing portion finalized, I knew I still had some room to play around with accessories! The same day I went to pick up my cropped blazer, I also purchased this stunning croc textured bag which seamlessly coordinated with the darker undertones. For another subtle pop of color, I added my pale yellow mules which highlighted the more vibrant hues. Lastly, I finished off the look with a chunky gold necklace and matching oversized sunglasses. This casual outfit brings me so much joy because it truly embodies the Spring season effortlessly! Comment below your favorite featured item and until next time!

The 90’s takeover does not appear to be slowing down and I’m not mad about it! As a kid I was too young to experiment with the style trends of that decade, so it’s been fun to finally have the opportunity incorporate them into my current wardrobe. Below I’ve rounded up some cropped Spring cardigans that would be perfect for layering, or worn on their own as trendy tops! Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks and until next time!

WHO RUN THE WORLD?!! GIRLS! I personally could not let March, better known as Women’s month, come to an end without dedicating at least one blog post to all of the powerful female influences that have raised me, shaped me, encouraged me, uplifted me, and continue to fight for me so that I can live my life freely today. I was honored to have been contacted by a fellow blogger babe, Gail, who suggested we collaborate on this shoot and it truly could not have turned out better! While we could have gone in a variety of directions, we decided to take a more classic approach and tap into our inner “girl boss” by showcasing complimentary styles in gorgeous pastel suits. What stood out to me the most were how much these shots truly captured the plethora of juxtapositions that all women possess. We can be soft, yet powerful, structured but also relaxed, bold and demure all at the same time. As women, we are such multi-faceted beings and it brought me so much joy to capture that essence while doing something I love. Because we are heading into warmer months and my suit was already oversized, I chose to layer it with a knit bralette and minimal tan heeled mules. As a final touch, I added my favorite chandelier earrings and a few gold rings for extra sparkle. Collaboration will forever trump competition and I look forward to making more magic with other incredible female creators, while hopefully inspiring others along the way! Happy Women’s Month!!
