Every now and then I get intrigued by just how versatile my style can be. I truly don’t consider myself as being particularly “girly,” but occasionally I find myself drawn to pieces that are more on the feminine side and I can’t help but filter them into my wardrobe. For instance this dress; it’s simply GORGEOUS! I had honestly never seen such a stunning shade of lavender and though this piece did come off a bit “night-gownish,” I threw caution to the wind and decided to give it a try! I actually purchased this garment during the early Spring season and realized it was either now or next year when I would have the opportunity to wear it again. I feel like I’ve been describing a lot of my looks as “effortless” lately, but with quarantine being our new reality, even the idea of getting dressed has become a process I haven’t felt like putting a lot of thought and time into. For this particular outfit, I figured color-blocking would be an interesting approach to styling such a vibrant frock. I added a pair of pale yellow asymmetric mules and layered with a thin white shirt which provided even more movement and texture on this warm, breezy day. I completed the ensemble with a few silver pieces of jewelry and used a bouquet of flowers that my photographer so unexpectedly brought me as an impromptu accessory, which just so happened to match perfectly! This is definitely a look that can take you from day to night, to the boardwalk and back to the city. Comment below your thoughts on these pieces and if you would consider styling any of them as we head into the next season. Until next time!

As we make our way through the final Summer months, the excitement of new trends begin to fill my mind and my style becomes more minimal as I prepare for my favorite layering season. I personally love this look because it is absolutely effortless yet still weather appropriate and chic! Biker shorts are still proving to be a closet essential and though I don’t own many pairs, they definitely come in handy on those super casual days. I chose to balance the spandex with an over-sized striped poplin shirt which really ensured my comfort level was on 1000! While I could have maintained the overall simplicity with a sneaker or flat shoe, this seemed like the perfect opportunity for a statement heel; and lucky for me, I had just bought some. These strappy nude sandals featuring a bright blue bubble heel, instantly elevated this outfit and truly made me feel like I was walking on a piece of art. For those who know me, outerwear, shoes, and accessories (specifically sunglasses and handbags) are typically where I implement the “wow factor” in most of my looks and this one was no exception! To finish off the ensemble I grabbed an old ring handle bag and a few gold pieces of jewelry to coordinate with its hardware. For one last subtle yet unexpected twist, I threw on a pair of tortoise cat-eye sunglasses instead of a black style, as I felt that they highlighted the warmth in the outfit, despite my cool-toned top being a focal piece. Needless to say, I’m ready to give my Autumnal wardrobe a bit of a refresh and break out those knits and blazers that have been hiding in the back of my closet. Can you believe we’re more than half way through 2020?!?!! Comment below what you’re looking forward to most during the upcoming season, and until next time!

Why wear a top when you can wear a bodysuit??? In all seriousness, whoever came up with this garment truly deserves an award. I mean, it completely takes the hassle out of bulky styling and guarantees a seamless look every time! So what’s not to love??! From the moment I saw this piece online, I was instantly obsessed and knew I had to have it. From the cut out detail and one-shoulder design, this bodysuit is a complete showstopper to say the least! And how could I forget, it’s NEON! Now if I’m being completely honest, I don’t have or even want a large amount of fluorescent items in my wardrobe. That being said, I do believe there is a time, place, and way to style them that can still contribute to a chic ensemble. Because my top was so bright and a bit revealing, I chose to balance out the look with a looser fitting pair of trousers in a neutral beige color. These tailored pants are so comfortable and provided the sophisticated element I needed to complete my outfit. I wanted my accessories to pop without being distracting so I figured the contrast of black against the lighter colors would do the trick. Lastly, I also decided to play with tonal accents and grabbed a bag in a much darker green shade to add some dimension and variety within the range of the color palette. This look definitely screams “Summer brunch vibes” and it still saddens me that life as we once knew it pre-quarantine may never be the same. On a lighter note, comment your favorite item that was featured and where you would wear it now that our day to day has become much more restricted. Until next time!

While staying fit and working out has always been a consistent part of my lifestyle, I’d be lying if I said the current circumstances occurring in our world haven’t amplified it. Being confined to my home more than ever before has really allowed me to lean on working out as a source of both physical and mental stress relief. Because of this, I was absolutely thrilled when I was contacted by one of the most influential athletic brands, Adidas, to collaborate and showcase products from their latest line entitled “Pink Unity.” I was instantly drawn to the name of this collection because “unity” is the very thing we need most in our country at this time. From a fashion perspective, I also loved the vibrant color palette that made each piece a definite showstopper whether walking into the gym for the first time or heading to the park to train. Though there are a variety of styles within this particular range, I really wanted to step outside of my comfort zone of black, white, and grey garments, and select the boldest items that most appealed to me. The first piece that caught my attention were the graphic leggings. Aside from being extremely eye-catching, they are the perfect amount of spandex and softness to keep you feeling supported yet comfortable throughout any exercise you desire. At this point, I was tempted to pair them with one of the darker jackets or sneakers but instead I decided to continue matching that striking “signal pink” shade. The wind-breaker was such a great layering piece and perfectly highlighted the accent stripes on my footwear choice. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a workout shoe that is so light, yet resistant enough to handle all of the high impact movements I do regularly with my HIIT cardio and circuit training sessions. This collection has made me feel empowered, strong, and motivated me to continue working on my fitness goals throughout this global pandemic. Additionally, now that the rules are a bit more relaxed for social distancing outside, this is the perfect time to get some new gear and take advantage of what’s left of Summer while staying active! Satin has got to be one of the most popular fabrics during the Summer months. Despite the fact that it is lightweight and breathable, this material also allows for beautiful movement that really highlights the softness of the garment. While I have recently discussed my ever growing slip dress collection, my first introduction to satin pieces were definitely in the form of skirts! I love how versatile these pieces are and how they truly can be styled all year round with just a few additional layers. For this ensemble however, I kept things seasonally appropriate and semi-casual. Because I chose to keep the bottom half of the look completely neutral, it was imperative that I add some color for a bit of interest. This season in particular, I’ve really been drawn to vibrant pops of color and this hot pink crop top was no exception! From the moment I saw this statement making item, I knew it would be the perfect add-on for a plain look that just needed some extra spice. Though the outfit was nearly complete, it was still too simple for my liking. In efforts to seamlessly tie everything together, I grabbed my personalized denim jacket, my light beige wicker bag, and some classic black sunnies for a contrasting element. In my opinion, this would be the perfect beach day/boardwalk look or even suitable for a nice picnic lunch. Let me know in the comments if this is something you could see yourself styling and until next time!

The increased popularity of slip dresses over the last few years is something that I don’t see slowing down any time soon. What I personally love most about them, is the countless styling opportunities that truly make it a year-round staple. In my opinion, Summer is probably the easiest season to style them because there is really no need for layering. However that being said, because these frocks are such simple and dainty pieces, it can take a little more thought to cultivate an ensemble that still has some type of dimension and interest. My slip dress collection has continued to grow with each season, and it should be no surprise that the black version is definitely my most worn. In efforts to add a bit more variety and fill a void in my wardrobe, I jumped at the opportunity to be gifted a cream-colored style which had recently caught my eye. Upon receiving, I was thrilled with the quality and determined to play off of the feminine details, while adding pieces that would provide an unexpected juxtaposition. I had also recently purchased my first pair of colorful sneakers, (every other pair I own are either black and/or white) and was anxious to style them ASAP! Because I was essentially working with a blank canvas, this was the perfect opportunity to add a street-style flare to such a delicate garment. Additionally, for a bit more structure, I thought it would be cool to throw on an over-sized blazer which helped balance the look overall. For accessories, minimal silver jewelry and my geometric frames helped tie everything together and complete my vision. This honestly may be one of my favorite Summer looks to date due to all of the elements and style genres that were combined to create this outfit. Comment below your favorite piece and until next time!

So long are the days of wearing garments for one singular purpose! In my personal experience, especially while growing up, cardigans were always meant for layering when the temperature of the destination was uncertain. Lately however, I’ve noticed these knits gaining more respect and moving from the typical “add-on” piece to one of the focal items in various ensembles. Below I’ve rounded up a few options that I could absolutely see myself styling currently and during the upcoming seasons. Don’t forget to click the images for direct links to shop and until next time!
