When styling, I love nothing more than mixing and matching different pieces. Whether it be through textures, prints, or fashion genres, this trick in my opinion always helps bring more dimension and interest to an ensemble. I received this floral crop top and honestly didn’t have a clear direction regarding what I wanted to pair it with. Jeans seemed like the easy way out, but I wanted to push myself a little harder. Instead, I settled on a cream-colored denim mini skirt that kept the same casual element I seemed to be leaning towards, while also perfectly matching the tones in my top. Believe it or not, I was completely stumped at this point. I was pleased with how the two garments I had looked together, but for me, the look was far from complete and just fell a bit flat. Being a girl who NEVER plans her outfits in advance, it’s no surprise that more times than not, I’m usually finalizing my style creations the morning of my shoot and adding finishing touches that I wasn’t able to think of in the days prior. I decided to give my AF1’s a break and revisit my trusty Vans for footwear. Still, the ensemble was giving me unrefined middle-school vibes. In the final moments I had before I needed to get ready, as usual, the vision came to me. I pulled a striped blazer from a suit set that I haven’t worn in quite some time and saw the look instantly elevate before my eyes. Since I decided to forego a bag, I relied on my accessories to save the day. Lately, I have become more of a jewelry wearer, with a slight obsession for rings. That said, I made sure to incorporate some gold pieces with a coordinating cuff bracelet and my small hoops. After adding a round pair of frames, I was finally satisfied and ready to SLAY! When developing your personal style, I think it’s so important to try new things and step out of your comfort zone; you never know, you might just stumble upon an odd combination you like! Until next time!

I love doing collaborations with brands, especially when they are companies I wouldn’t have ordinarily found on my own. The Geisha House is a Philadelphia-based boutique that prides itself on stocking effortless, trendy pieces from a variety of brands for every type of girl who is confident enough to let her style speak for itself. Because they so graciously gifted me 3 pieces, I decided to create a mini look-book, showcasing the different genres that make up my personal style. The first look was definitely the most casual/streetstyle inspired. I would never go so far as to consider myself a “tomboy,” however I do have a deep love for contrast, and the pairing of dresses and sneakers never seems to get old. The vibrant salmon color of the slip dress was absolutely gorgeous and I instantly knew I wanted to channel my inner “cool-girl.” I decided to test the waters and layer a hawaiian shirt over the frock to really capture the laid back essence Summer brings. Finally, with my cat-eye frames, monogram necklace, and matching gold hoops, I was beyond pleased with how the look came together!

For the second look I decided to keep the jewelry the same, but this time create a more elevated and chic ensemble, using this animal printed skirt as the focal piece. I’ve seen so many variations of satin skirts over the last few seasons but I’ve never seen one quite like this. Unlike the usual styles, this one in particular appears to have a blended print of all the wild jungle cats which definitely made it stand out to me. To play off of this bold garment, I knew I wanted to tie in a blazer to further enhance the strong, “boss babe” style I was going for. Underneath, I added a cut-out bodysuit which seamlessly tied both patterned items together, and my bright orange heeled sandals for an unexpected pop of color. As a final touch, I added my aviator frames and was ready to get down to business…or just go to brunch, lol.

For my final look, I ended up creating an outfit that is honestly not my typical style, but was more of a preppy/quirky take on the movie Clueless. I knew I didn’t want to style this neon knit tank on it’s own, so I immediately began thinking of ways to layer it. I already had the shorts and boots combo in mind but it was just a matter of finding the perfect piece to complete this “wildcard” of a look, and make it my own. After a few more attempts and rummaging through my closet, there it was; the lace shirt I had been looking for! Once it was all said an done, I felt somewhere between an extra in a 90’s teen drama and Buttercup from the Powerpuff Girls; but all in all, I was happy with it. There are so many perks when it comes to holidays; the long weekends, time off from work, quality time to spend with friends and loved ones, and of course THE SALES! Below I’ve rounded up some July 4th sales that are still going on even though the fireworks and barbecues may have ended. Work off those hot dogs and burgers with some retail therapy below; until next time!

As a blogger who does most of her shooting outdoors, there’s always a chance that unexpected weather conditions can alter the plans and force a last minute location change. Luckily, on this particular weekend, I was well aware that it would be raining so I thought ahead. I had seen a few bloggers use the furniture store, Burrow House, to host events as well as a photoshoot backdrop. Aside from the store being beautifully curated, it’s also an incredibly photogenic space with all of the cozy vibes you could ever imagine! Unlike other home-good retailers I’ve seen, Burrow House does an excellent job at designing their stores to really make the customer feel at home and get a feel for how each piece would live in their own private spaces. Upon walking in, I was instantly drawn to this deep caramel-colored leather couch and knew it would be the perfect center piece for my shoot. Everything felt so natural, as if I was in my own living room which helped compliment the casual outfit I had styled. I was holding onto this plaid jacket for quite some time planning the perfect moment to style it, to the point where I began to get nervous if I had waited too long and it was out of season. After thinking of possible scenarios where I could where this garment, the thought of cool Summer nights on the boardwalk came to mind and I began mentally crafting my ensemble. I found these denim paper-bag waist shorts on sale during a recent shopping trip, and in efforts to keep things simple, paired them with a white button up with eyelet detailing. Because this was such a classic look, I chose to keep the focus on the outerwear and finish it off with minimal heeled sandals featuring a vinyl strap and sage colored earrings to tie everything together. I truly felt right at home and loved how this editorial turned out! Let me know in the comments what a rainy day at home looks like for you; mine would certainly consist of tea, music, and a few good movies. Until next time!

More often than not, there’s usually one specific piece that becomes the catalyst when creating my outfits. In this specific instance it was this fun vinyl tote from Jeff Wan. I was lucky enough to have been selected for this collaboration and though I was excited for the styling, it took me some time to figure out where to start. Based on the style of bag as well as the bold pineapple stamp, I immediately decided to use the beach as my theme and inspiration. I had already had this one-shoulder asymmetric top in my closet and had been meaning to use it in a blog post since the day I brought it home. During my shopping session, I was initially leaning towards a flowy wide-legged pant, but unfortunately could not find anything that suited my vision. After browsing the sale section, I also picked up cream blazer as an addition to my wardrobe staples; with no intention of using it for this particular look. As I arrived at my final store location of the day, these striped shorts caught my attention without hesitation I knew that they would be perfect! They instantly reminded me of those giant beach umbrellas and before I knew it, my look was coming together right before my eyes. Because my bag had brown accents, I decided to incorporate a pair of suede mules in the same color to add a bit of cohesiveness. To elevate the look, I made a last-minute decision to drape the blazer I had purchased over my shoulders, which really helped to provide dimension and a touch of sophistication to the ensemble overall. For jewelry, in efforts to highlight the gold button detail on my sleeve, I added a matching pair of dangling earrings and was ready to roll! This outfit truly gave me all of the chic vacation feels and I am undoubtedly pleased with how it turned out. With just a few days left until June, my Summer wardrobe is almost complete and ready to be showcased with a number of looks and new pieces I’ve collected recently. Naturally, floral prints are always a front runner this time of year, but I’ve also been drawn to square necklines more than ever. This particular silhouette is one that has really taken off in regards to being a major trend, and as flattering as it is, I certainly can’t complain! Aside from the overall style of this frock, I was also attracted to the “leafier” print that adorned this garment. Typically, I’m used to seeing brighter, bolder, and more standard looking flowers as soon as the cold weather begins to break; so, I appreciated the subtler approach. In efforts to represent the essence of the season accurately, I wanted to stay away from darker colors and keep the look light and fresh with neutral accessories. Luckily, I found the most interesting pair of taupe sandals with leather straps to tie around the foot in a slightly unique, yet retro way. The shoes also featured a silver accent detail which made them even more eye-catching and interesting especially when reflected by the sunlight. Because of the low heel, they were super easy to maneuver in, and the beige-color was versatile enough to style with literally anything! I decided to tie the look together with another popular accessory, my woven straw bag. Since it’s fairly large, it is the perfect piece for any park, picnic, or beach days that are bound to arise during the upcoming months. Lastly, I kept things classic with a pair of mixed metal hoops and was on my way! Some people identify Summer as one of the harder seasons to dress for, as remaining cool and not over-heating is always top priority. In these instances, I’ve found that fun accessories are the best option to turn a basic look into something that is still effortless and chic. Until next time!

Have you ever worn an outfit that literally made you feel like the coolest person in the room? Well, this was that look for me! I am definitely no stranger to jumpsuits, but this time I wanted to try and expand my styling capabilities. As we all know, one-pieces like these are basically all-encompassing outfits so it’s really the accessories that are relied upon to make the statement. Since we are finally getting a glimpse of Summer weather, I was excited about the reality of not having to layer a t-shirt or turtleneck under this garment. To highlight the deep v-neck design on both front and back, I did however throw on a racerback lace bralette for a touch of feminine flare. Recently, I’ve noticed the incorporation of silk/satin scarves becoming increasingly popular as accent pieces for various ensembles. Whether worn in one’s hair, on a bag, or as a necktie, this trend appears to be sticking around this season. When I came across this vibrant red printed option, I knew it would be the perfect eye-catching element to add to this look; so needless to say, I went with the latter option in regards to styling.  For footwear, while I do love my heels, I chose to keep it casually classic with my AF1s which ended up complimenting the slightly cropped hem of the jumpsuit in the best way; if I do say so myself. There really is nothing like breaking out a fresh pair of white sneakers on a bright Summer day and I look forward to wearing mine as much as possible this year! Finally, to complete the ensemble, I wanted to include a piece that I had been holding onto for months! This shearling fanny pack solidified my 90s athleisure vision and made me feel like heading to every Kith and sneaker store in Soho, lol (jokes, but you get the idea)! All in all, I loved how this look touched on so many style genres and still left me feeling comfortable, cute, and effortless. Honestly speaking, the idea of going to a festival of any kind has never really appealed to me; the long lines, poor cell phone reception, lack of seating, and let’s not forget that I am on the shorter side. That being said, when I was contacted by the lovely team at Calvin Klein to style a few pieces from their festival edit collection, I was ready and willing to take on the challenge, and style a look that reflected my personal style as well as the iconic brand. When I think of CK, themes of minimalism, comfort, and all-around essential wardrobe staples come to mind. I also wanted to make it a point to select pieces that could easily serve as the foundation for more elaborate looks that may be transformed to fit any number of the Summer festivities that are quickly approaching. In short, I didn’t think I could go wrong with a classic pair of denim and a simple top. Though the “mom jean” has really taken off as probably the most popular fit at the moment, I decided to throw it back to an old favorite of mine; the boyfriend jean. In my opinion, this relaxed style truly captures the essence of the CK brand and gives a nod to the effortless style of the 90’s that I personally love. Instead of opting for a signature slogan tee, I was pleasantly surprised to see a bodysuit featuring a cross-strap keyhole detail on the back that gave the most flattering silhouette. I was instantly sold and thrilled that each piece, though fairly plain, had unique eye-catching elements that made them pop in the subtlest way. To dress up the look a bit more, I decided to add a blazer; however, this wasn’t just any blazer, it was a menswear blazer kindly passed down from my oh-so-generous Father. Any oversized piece of outerwear would have sufficed, but I was drawn to the gorgeous floral printed lining and felt that it was an unexpected touch that gave a fun, seasonal flare. To complete the look, I opted for white heeled sandals, gold earrings and frames to match the metallic clasp on the shoe. All and all, while understated, I was pleased with how this look turned out and encourage you all to head over to the Calvin Klein website to spruce up your Spring/Summer wardrobe with versatile pieces for every occasion! Biker, bermuda, or cycling shorts have all become synonymous for a popular trendy piece over the last few Spring/Summer seasons. That being said, it appears that this garment isn’t going anywhere any time soon, and in fact has begun to expand making it more versatile outside of just “athleisure” ensembles. Below I’ve rounded up a few styles that I would definitely add to my collection as we get deeper into the warmer months. Let me know in the comments what you think about these pieces and if you’re willing to give any of them a try this year. Until next time!

It’s so beautiful and refreshing to see everything begin to bloom and take on new life as we move into the warmer seasons; so, it was only right that I capture some of nature’s beauty and feature the gorgeous cherry blossom trees. This is the second look I styled in collaboration with the Eggie brand, and I honestly think it might have been my favorite! When I initially saw this sustainable top on the website I was drawn to it immediately. At the same time, I was also anxious to receive and find out if I could actually pull it off. To my surprise, it completely exceeded my expectations in terms of quality, fit, and overall details. Because it was white however, I was left with plenty of options in terms of what to pair it with (which is not a bad problem to have, might I add). I had recently saw and purchased a pair of cream, paper bag waist, faux leather shorts; and though I was excited to wear them, a part of me felt like maybe it was too soon. That said, I ended up taking my chances and styling the pieces together despite my hesitation. At this point, being that my color palette was so light, I wanted to find a way to even it out with a bit of contrast. I had also bought a pair of black embossed mules and decided to add them to my ensemble which brought a casual, more “daytime-appropriate” vibe. For accessories, I didn’t want to miss out on an opportunity to showcase my new mini wrist-bag; and it couldn’t have been delivered at a more perfect time! The multi-colored stripes really helped to tie in each garment as well as the shoes, to create one cohesive outfit. Lastly, no Spring/Summer look would be complete without a pair of sunglasses, so I grabbed my black cat-eye frames and the look was complete! The overall combination of feminine and edgy pieces is really one of my favorite juxtapositions, as it truly defines my style perfectly and is the foundation of a lot of my looks. Let me know in the comments your favorite part about Spring and until next time!
