With the holidays quickly approaching, there are only 2 outfits that I am actually planning for: New Year’s Eve and Christmas Day. While for NYE I put a lot of thought into the statement I want my ensemble to make as I bring in the upcoming year, Christmas Day is a totally different story. I am concerned with one thing, and one thing only…COMFORT. For me, Christmas is probably the most relaxing day of the year. I get up, put on my “outfit” for the day, and literally stay in it ALL day. The past few years I’ve been a proud member of the onesie club, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other options. Check out a few of the items I’ve highlighted below for optimal comfort and don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks! Until next time & happy holidays!
I was absolutely honored to have been selected by Coach to collaborate and feature a piece from their new Rexy holiday collection. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little skeptical about whether or not I could pull off one of these unique items, but I was determined to take on the challenge! Of the choices that were available, I decided to go with the black wristlet as it was the most versatile and in my opinion emphasized the contrast of the vibrant dinosaur the best. While I wanted to keep my new accessory as the focal point of the look, I made sure to style it with eye-catching garments that were minimal yet complimentary to the bag. Since the wristlet had a few bright colors already, I kept the rest of the look fairly neutral. However, I still managed to tie the ensemble together with my new navy pea-coat which beautifully highlighted the outline of the prehistoric creature. This piece is great because when worn, it instantly provides an element of playfulness and edge to any look. I chose to wear a light grey Victorian-style sweater dress to break up the darkness of the coat and boots. I absolutely loved the chic, vintage detail it added with the frilled accents on the neck and sleeves. Overall, I absolutely loved this look and am so happy that I was able to incorporate a piece from such a classic, luxury brand. Coach is currently celebrating their 75th anniversary, so make sure to check out their new capsule collection and grab one of these iconic pieces for yourself! Until next time!

For my second gift guide, I couldn’t forget about the boys! In my opinion men, can either be extremely easy or incredibly difficult to shop for. If they have clear cut interests it’s usually a no-brainer, but I decided to pull together some options for those who aren’t exactly sure. Personally, I love getting gifts for people that they may never think to buy themselves– NEEDS rather than wants. Guys have a habit of wearing out their daily items until they literally fall apart, so why not treat them to a personal grooming kit, piece of luggage, or super convenient wallet-charger combo? Don’t forget to the click the images to shop these items. Happy holidays!
I’ve stated time and time again that I am not your typical “accessories girl.” I love creating looks with garments that make their own statement and don’t necessarily need a bunch of bells and whistles to come alive. With that being said, when I do come across an accessory piece that I feel would be a nice addition to my wardrobe I look for two key factors, uniqueness and versatility. When I was contacted by the lovely sponsors at Jord to showcase one of their timepieces, I took one glance at the website and knew instantly it would be something I could incorporate into my style. In the past, ironically, I spent a decent chunk of my retail career working for a watch company and not once have I ever come across one made almost entirely of wood. What I like about that feature, aside from the fact that the wood provides an earthy-rustic vibe to any look, is that it’s also surprisingly lightweight and extremely comfortable on the wrist. Another bonus is the neutral brown tone of the band which allows it to be worn with just about anything and perfectly compliments the warm, seasonal Fall colors that we all love! With a wide selection to choose from, I decided to go with a gorgeous mid-toned zebrawood watch with a champagne colored face. I love its over-sized yet sleek, classic appearance that is simple enough to be worn by both women and men. With the holidays quickly approaching and the spirit of giving in our hearts, Jord has taken their generosity to the next level and provided a contest link for all of my readers and subscribers! With plenty of gift giving holidays right around the corner, I decided to pull together some cute ideas for the ladies in your life. I tried to think of items that were not too age restricting and varied in price range. Let’s be honest, I can’t think of one woman who doesn’t like looking good, smelling nice, and capturing the moment! I would be thrilled to receive any of these items and hope that they provided helpful hints. Don’t forget to click the images for direct links to the products. Happy holidays!
I have seen an abundance of statement footwear all over the runway as well as on concrete streets everywhere. As the weather continues to drop it becomes harder to showcase your style through all of the layers, but funky shoes provides the outlet to do just that. Here are a few of the pieces that have caught my eye recently. Don’t forget to click the images to shop my picks!
It’s no secret to those who know me that I have a slight issue when it comes to departing with older pieces in my wardrobe. It’s not that I’m a hoarder (I swear) it’s just that the way fashion recycles trends, you never know when that older piece may come in handy– and that’s EXACTLY what happened. Statement footwear has made a huge impact on most fashion lovers in the recent months. From velvet to funky prints and patterns, I just couldn’t pass on experimenting with this trend and I knew that I had the perfect piece! I purchased these wild wedges about 3 years ago and sadly, have only worn them maybe twice before. However, there was something so unique about them that I was determined to keep them in my arsenal. I mean…who doesn’t love a shoe made out of your grandmother’s tapestry??? As soon as I pulled them from the depths of my closet I instantly knew that they would make an amazing featured piece. Because they are so eye-catching I wanted to keep the rest of the look simple, yet edgy. I purchased this t-shirt dress and long-line bomber jacket on a fairly successful trip to the mall and knew they would make a great pairing for this ensemble, but it wasn’t enough. I felt like something was missing and figured what better way to add an extra bit of interest than with fishnets. To be honest, these were beyond annoying to get on but they definitely helped complete the look. I accessorized with my go-to choker, leather tote, and new favorite aviators that I literally have not taken off since I bought them. This may actually be me my favorite post of 2016; but don’t quote me. Until next time!

At this point, most designers have found a way to incorporate the lace up trend onto basically every garment imaginable. For this time of year however, I’ve seen an abundance of tops and sweaters incorporating this trend and fashionistas everywhere (myself included) rocking it to its full potential. Check out a few of the pieces I’ve gathered below, and let me know what you think of this trend! Until next time!
We have seen the lace-up trend take the fashion world by storm since spring/summer 2015. It was first introduced in the form of bodysuits, but has since expanded into other pieces including dresses, trousers, and a popular favorite, sweaters. Like most, I was quite a fan of this trend and appreciated the extra edginess it gave many otherwise traditional garments that we already know and love. This sweater in particular incorporated a few other trends that made it a “must-have” for me, including the high-low hem, super soft fuzzy texture, and mauve hue. To keep the sweater as the focal point of this look but still add a bit of interest, I decided to pair the top with my vegan leather biker trousers that have remained a fall staple in my wardrobe for about 4 seasons now (sadly, I may have to replace them soon 🙁 ). I decided to keep the rest of my accessories minimal with a solid black choker necklace and my single strap heeled sandals. In order to lighten up the color scheme and balance out all of the black, I decided to throw on an over-sized vintage denim jacket which gave the look a cool, effortless feel. As I’ve stated a million times before, I love allowing my garments to speak for themselves and play up the eye-catching details that make them unique. This is definitely a look that I will be rocking in many different variations this season whether with boots, sneakers, jeans or a trench. That’s the fun part about fashion, the options are endless! Until next time!

As I’ve been fully into the swing of Fall fashion, I couldn’t let this season pass without creating a look with the classic autumn shade, olive. Like burgundy, navy, and rust, olive is another color that annually graces runways and retailers as we move toward the winter months. Though I’m not the biggest fan of green, I happen to love olive because of its versatility and neutral-like qualities that make it easy to pair with other colors, my favorite being brown tones. When I saw this cropped jumpsuit I was instantly attracted to its tailored style, cut-out, and back tie detail. As this would also be a great piece for some of the warmer Spring months, in efforts to stay weather appropriate, I layered it with a ribbed bodysuit for extra warmth. To be honest, I probably would never have paired these shoes and bag together under any other circumstances but for some odd reason the slight clashing of the browns was somewhat appealing to me. I’ve said before, fashion is not something that should be taken too seriously. Experiment, take risks, and most importantly be confident in whatever you decide to wear and if it doesn’t work out, it’s still a lesson learned. Until next time!
